URGENT PAYPAL HELP +REP

Hello,

Basically a friend of mine is using my paypal account to sell his laptop. The woman has apparently "sent" the payment via paypal to my account and I have received an email apparently confirming the payment. At the bottom, there is the following text:

Now, to me - that's EXTREMELY dodgy. The email address I need to send confirmation of shipping to has nothing to do with paypal as far as I can see. Is this normal or am I right in being suspicious.

If the domain, has nothing to do with PayPal, ignore it.
Or, do a whois search of the domain and see who its registered to, as it may belong to PayPal.

If it's from PayPal (do check) then it's perfectly legit. It's a new security measure that they do - they 'hold' the payment until both parties confirm the deal has been made. Stupid, but necessary.

Very dodgy, don't send anything to that email. How was the laptop sold? eBay? Over a forum?

@paypal.com e-mail address could be easily spoofed. And it would also be incredibly easy to copy a legit e-mail from PayPal and be sent through a spoofer.

The laptop hasn't been sent yet, however I received this email five times saying once I have sent the item I should contact the following email address with the shipping information so payment can be sent. However it isn't an @paypal.co.uk email address so I am worried that it's a spoof?

i'd say its fake. theres too may mistakes for it not to be really. only send information to paypal through their website, never through emails as you just can't be sure. also, they probably wouldn't ask for information because of the stated reason above.

The domain consultant.com has nothing to do with PayPal. It seems like some sort of phising scam. Where was the laptop sold?
