Naruto - http://www.animeseason.com/naruto/
Naruto Shippuuden (ongoing) - http://www.animeseason.com/naruto-shippuuden/
Naruto comes first, then Shippuuden which is basically season 2.
Subtitled > Dubbed, watch it that way the links I provided are for subtitled versions. The dubbed version is 100 or so episodes behind, so it hasnt started Shippuuden yet.

Yes, you made the right choice.

Every way possible.

Huh? That makes no sense. Why would the subtitles be on Naruto's jacket?
It was an example of why I dont watch sub, In the first or second naruto episode i missed out on quite a few words because the subs were on a cream coloured house and it was clashing with the other colours making it hard to read

Or you buy the dvds or get a better sub. :S pretty poor excuse to choose dub. believe it
See what i did there ;)

You must have been reading some lame subtitles then because usually theres a black outline around each letter which makes it a lot easier to read.
i thought naruto's jacket was orange anyway, or is that just me not knowing naruto?

Your right, all the subtitles are really easy to read as Chris said they have an outline on them usually black with a white font so it's extremely easy to distinguish from the anime itself.

I aint wasting money on it.

yellow subs....? where did u watch that crap
Official DVDs often have yellow subtitles. It's never bothered me but I can see how it would be a problem while watching Naruto.

I googled Naruto Episode 1 and veoh or something came up
They were pure yellow

Thats a crappy subbing company, most decent anime sites have good subbing
www.animeseason.com (http://www.animeseason.com)
www.zomganime.com (http://www.zomganime.com)
They arent hard to read either.

They aren't companies :eusa_doh: and I don't think anime sites actually pay attention to specific subtitles.

Nope if you want could quality download or buy the dvds. If your streaming thenn find a site dedicated tot hat series. they look for good links to add unlike sites that have mass series.
Anyway. If you bothered to watch the Sub then you could be watching shippuuden on crunchy roll with great quality.
But comon you see my point
your trying to read what happening and there putting someones name then the text over it both white so its hard to read
and the second picture "You fail" Its the same colour as the greenish background :S
Not the colour of narutos jacket idiot.

Ill say it again
NOT THE COLOUR OF NARUTOS JACKET
Try using the colour identifier tool
And Nice one using dark yellow.
@Paul Be honest, Have you ever had trouble reading the subs? if they go over narutos jacket for a bright floor or something.
That is orange, Naruto's jacket is orange?

The only time i find it hard to read subs is at the title with the song lyrics in english and japanese, always overlapping. Nobody pays attention to them anyway.
Everyone has personal opinions what they like though, no need to bicker D;

Just to settle this, Yes the 1st lot of episodes were dubbed using a very pale yellow, and did make it ackward to read. But other sub groups have resubbed them so its just a matter of looking for them and not looking for a stream. DBZ had terrible subs when it was being subbed. but people still watched it.
but using that as an excuse on not to watch series in sub is bad. Theres better subbed versions out now and theres always the dvds if your not so tight to pay for it. And ALL sub groups now a days have the black outlined white subs. to make it easier to read.
Whats the point watching something in a different language and not even be able to read most of the subtitles

Your getting it all wrong, you watched a bad fansub
Naruto was subbed by Dattebayo, a professional subbing company that charges for subbing as a service. They did Naruto up to Shippuuden 96 when they were told to stop by a the company who owns the Naruto name as they would be professionally subbing them. Dattebayo also subs Bleach. The subs provided by Dattebayo are top notch and very easy to read. What you watched was a bad sub, probably some rookie subbing company.

Find a better fan sub or buy the dvds.
Dattebayo subbed from like episode 90 - 220 of naruto and most of shippuuden before crunchyroll started streaming it legaly.

And yes, there are different shades of red, but the orange I used is almost identical to the one on Naruto's jacket. I don't know how you not knowing your colours makes talking to me like 'talking to an infant'.

The Three Tailed Beast filler arc i think is going on for way too long.
Sure the Three tails kick ass, But tbh, I just want to get to the Deidara and Sasuke fight.

Your right it has gone of for far to long. thinking about stopping until its over =/ i dont mind if its a short filler arc but when it gets dragged on like this is puts me off
