View Full Version : Miss California causes a stare
Last night at Miss USA, California was asked about same sex marriage, she give her idiodic response (in my opinion). Well anyways shes caused a great stare in America, the company who run it are being very apologetic in their released statements.

Its her opinion at the end of the day I think its actually pretty brave of her to be honest rather than just saying what she thinks people want to hear
Absently

The part where she says people can choose is wrong because you can't choose your sexuality, but they asked for her opinion on it and she gave it.

Maybe because Miss Bimbo competitions aren't for giving an opinion, but to make yourself look as perfect as possible.

I give her credit for being honost. Most of those answers are so fake just to win the competition. I'd give her a pat on the back for standing up and giving her opinion!

Yup, it was a bit blonde a few bits she said but she probably didnt even realise she was doing it but she was brave in saying it but you think she would have had more of a better answer. ''in my country'' c'mon, I mean your all american, its not like one person is from america the other is from africa.
an Update:
She has apperently been told to apologise by the organisation to gay people but the company has disagreed and said she didnt, so she is trying to save her skin.
Second she believes being gay is a choice "which develops over time"

So? Lots of people think being homosexual is a choice....
lol, yes, she is very brave putting her views across like that.
However. "I think its great people can chose one or another, but I think it should stay between a man and a woman"
and what the hell, "in my country" lol?
"we live in a land" wth? its not alice in wonderland..

Indeed, you can't alienate america :P
I don't see the big deal, she was honest which makes a change. Maybe the question is, are America ready to understand honesty? Technically it's civil partnerships and I think marriage is defined as between a man and woman anyway. It's a debate about re-writing a definition, even though civil partnerships seems a more appropriate title (though that may be down to marriage being so heavily associated between a man and a woman that it just looks and sounds odd with regard to a man and a man or a woman and a woman).

I might be gay myself (at least I think so) and I believe any form of marriage should be between a man and a woman only.
She's allowed an opinion no matter how idiotic it is lol
and I think you mean caused a stir not stare :P
