I know I'm not the most up to date here with the Eminem releases, but I just heard "3 AM" which to my knowledge only came out yesterday (or was leaked or whatever they want to say these days when tracks come out on the internet) and frankly.. I'm not impressed.
Compared to every single from MMLP and The Eminem Show, these new tracks are horrifically weak.
Can't be bothered to look for Crack A Bottle which is more of a Dre and 50 tune really but the "main" single release and supposed comeback after the 5 years he's had to make records can be found here (http://www.xxlmag.com/online/?p=42794) and is called We Made You. It's meant to be about celebrity lifestyle and all that... yeah ok he did that with Real Slimy Shady, and everyone else has done it since then, so it's not even a good topic to start with. This could have been saved if it was a blinder of a track, but it's not his lyrical peak and even his great rhythm isn't employed right with the mediocre beat. No winners here.
Then we get 3 AM (http://www.xxlmag.com/online/?p=44386), and nothing's improved. I could listen to it without hurting myself, and I managed to do so quite easily, but it's severely lacking when you go back and listen to Without Me, The Way I Am, Cleaning Out My Closet or really any of his older works.
I've been seeing a lot of people bash Asher Roth for being a "fake Eminem", but frankly even though Asher's mixtape was unimpressive, I have to say I prefer some of it to these 3 Em releases. Opinions from you lot to follow, go go go go go

yeah i agree ur awesome
eminem shoulda stopped after the eminem show. now hes just recycling songs hes already done.
Eminem actually raps the most in Crack A Bottle, Dre and 50 just have a little imput each.

You would have thought with Dre behind him he would produce something half decent.
asher roth shouldnt be compared to em.. i mean i listen to asher roth A LOT right now, but em is beyond him.. ash has potential to go bigger imo.
I've only heard We Made You, and it's just taking a few cheap shots at celebrities over a nursery beat rhyme.
I prefer his older songs Like Toy Soldiers and Just Lose It etc.
Im listening to it now, its alright
the person playing jessica is abit fat? LOL
And Crack a bottle is 75% eminem

"We Made You" is a track I liked at first but it's become old for me lightening fast. It's just him re-cycling the lead songs from his, let's say, past three albums? He always has to start with a celebrity basher and it's not funny anymore. I imagine the general public agree with me because it's severely underperformed in the charts. "3AM" is just abysmal in my opinion: it has no flow, the production is very mediocre and the lyrics just seem lazy and thrown together. And for some strange reason he decided to release it a fortnight after "We Made You". I don't have a clue what he's doing but he has really made a mess of the "Relapse" era. I won't pass a full judgment though because Eminem does tend to release four or five singles from an album so you never know, there could be some really good songs on there.
"Like Toy Soldiers", "Without Me", "Stan", "Lose Yourself", "When I'm Gone"... What on Earth happened to this man?
EDIT: I've been told that "3AM" is actually a promotional single for his album.
It's grown on me now so I'm back with popular demand ;) "You're my Amy, I'm your Blake, matter of fact bake me a birthday cake" how catchy :P

I hope you mean bigger than he currently is rather than bigger than Eminem - credit to the lad but I seriously doubt he'll pass Em in terms of popularity or influence. That said, I am actually loving Y.O.U. with Slick Rick

im sorry but people need to let go of tupac. yeah sure he was a good rapper and all but the dude's been dead for over a decade, and hip hop music has gone on. its stupid to keep bringing him up as a point of reference for credibility.

Tupac I respect as a fantastic rapper but he's not even in my top 10 tbh
He still keeps his songs old school, and I don't like it.

all ive heard is the one out atm, the one that says rock start in it, idk the name. tbh im not a huge fan of his music, i hate all the 'jokey' songs he does, i much prefer the more deeper songs like toy soliders. i really think he's lost it a bit, and focused too much on being funny, rather than being a good artist
Here's his official music video for 3 A.M

I don't really like the song, but the video is.. interesting.

I like eminem and I've always been a fan, but his two new songs, well the two I've heard, they're awful and rather annoying.

I personally like we made you its catchy and funny.
However 3 A.M was a bit diffrent. I didnt really like it. The thing with emeinem is he has two characters some funny songs [Slim Shady] and some real songs [Eminem] so far I only seen slim shady but I wana see eminem.

new song from eminem.
i hate the accent/stupid voice he puts on on his recent songs, he does it in this new one but it ain't as bad, and he don't do it in the chorus.
oh and his new vid for 3am is out which is quite deep.

Wow at him releasing three singles in a month! His latest, 'Old Times Sakes' has shot straight to number two on the US and Canadian iTunes so it's out performed both 'We Made You' and '3AM'.

He's definitely not as dominating as he used to be, but I don't mind his new songs.

He has just released 'Beautiful' as a single, it's easily the best single of this era so far.

Just to let evryone know he is producing a second album which is coming out november called relapse part 2. I think that album will be more sirous and we will see eminem and not slim shady.
He also says this during one of the skits in his new album....someone is saying to him you been away for four years and you come back with 2 cds.......
