Do you think you could change it so that you can edit your post/thread after a certain amount of time, because currently after a certain time you dont have the ability to do so?

it's not really needed, if you need it edited you can pm a mod.

I think the main reason for it is due to moderation purposes, so it's highly unlikely to change :P
You hae 15 minutes after you make a post to edit it, after that time only MODs can edit them. I don't think it will change.

Thats all you can say really.
The 15 minute editing limit is there so if a Moderator edits your post you can't change it / remove it. If we were to extend the editing limit you could hide rule breaking with ease and also change a Moderator's edit if they add a warning to your post. There is no need for this to change, as there are rules in place which allow you to double post if, and only if, you need to add extra, valid information and you're editing time limit has expired.

Quite, although with edit records these days that isn't such a big problem because at least the mods have proof. The main reason it was introduced originally was because people who posted threads could go back a week later and change the content of the first post, making the thread kinda nonsensical.
Its never really caused that much of a problem so I don't see any real reason to change it :)

Alright then, suppose it works. It's just i got a Signaure Shop and i want to change, and update it and it's just that extra bit of hassle to PM a moderator etc.
Never mind. Thanks anyways.

Yeah, sometimes It can be a hassle but it's not that much effort to just contact one of the Moderators in that section or even a Super Moderator like myself and I would be happily enough to update your signature shop thread for you. :)

That comment is true, but now a bit outdated eh Matt :)
What he said is also pretty much correct.
