Don't you think that Sulake is advertising Gambling in Habbo?

Do you think that making young people gamble will encourage and tempt them to gamble outside of Habbo with real life money?

More then half of the Habbo's who gamble are actually underage.

This is no different from Virtual world poker.

Thoughts?

They don't encourage it. Their official word is for people not to use these kind of rooms. However, the demand is there. Some Hotels have banned casinos if I remember rightly, Habbo UK would never do this because they'd lose too many current users as betting in casinos is far too widespread.

It's all I used to do on Habbo, I've bet and had taken bets worth hundreds of thrones altogether and I can safely say it hasn't encouraged me to want to be in real life because like most people I'm perfectly aware that real life and habbo betting isn't the same... lol.

Habbo gambling and real life gambling is the same idea. This idea might spark in their head and encourage gambling - I agree.

No, people should be allowed to gamble. It is their property so they can do what they wish with it, we don't need some nanny state government or Sulake telling us not to do which if we enjoyed it so much, we'd just do illegally anyway. I dont gamble and never have, but I haven't got a problem with it and neither should you.

I can see what your saying there, it's just people may get the idea that "Oh, I'm quite good at gambling on here, hmm I'll have a little pot at it outside of Habbo" and like once they start winning they get addicted to it and there you know it, everything goes from good to bad.

Maybe Habbo should do sessions where they give awareness about Real life gambling and what possibilities might happen if you do go over the top and gamble heavily.

I agree, it's there property, they have the right to do whatever they want with it. I'm just saying, by people gambling in Habbo, can or will it have a influence on them by tempting them to go to a Casino outside of Habbo.

I have no problem with anyone gambling, is there choice.
