I am doing some research for a possible collaborative project between me and a past member about creating an upload site to fill TehUpload's space in the community.

I would appreciate it if people would reply with answers to the following questions :) Only need it to be brief...

1) What features are most important to your for an upload site?
2) What file types do you want to be able to upload?
3) What should the maximum file size be?
4) When you think of image upload websites, what brand names, past and present, come to mind?
5) When you think of general file upload websites, what brand names, past and present, come to mind?
6) Any other comments you wish to make.

Thanks for your help,

Tim

1) What features are most important to your for an upload site?
Obv, uploading :P, security, multiple uploads (as many as i want (within reason)) since on tehupload, the most i could do was 3, which wasn't helpful when i was uploading 20 screenshots

2) What file types do you want to be able to upload?
Obvious image types, and maybe, ZIP, RAR, ISO (not realy bothered) and possibly exe.

3) What should the maximum file size be?
I suppose, it would depend on file type to be honest, as, you coul realy have a 50mb PNG easily ;p

4) When you think of image upload websites, what brand names, past and present, come to mind?
Tehuploads an obvious, uploadz, imageshack

5) When you think of general file upload websites, what brand names, past and present, come to mind?
To be honest, i don't know any, i use my FTP

6) Any other comments you wish to make.
I did have one, but i forgot it >:{

EDIT: Remembered it: make it light weight (if you get what i mean), as i seem to find, that some upload sites take a while to upload an image.

1) What features are most important to your for an upload site?
- Quick server speeds, ease of use, security, private uploads (nobody can view unless they have the URL)

- All major image file types (.jpg, .gif, .png, etc) .psd, .txt, .rar, .zip
3) What should the maximum file size be?
- Depends on what resources you have. If you have all the space in the world, go for 200MB. If not, go for 10MB.
4) When you think of image upload websites, what brand names, past and present, come to mind?
- imageshack, tehupload, tinypic, photobucket
5) When you think of general file upload websites, what brand names, past and present, come to mind?
- rapidshare, megaupload, tehupload
6) Any other comments you wish to make.
- Good luck.
