Dutch queensday celebration takes dramatic turn

Today the dutch celebrated queensday untill a guy drove his car through a crowed of people hitting a monument in the end.
So far 12 people injured 2 people killed.
all other celebration has been canceld.

Oh my God... I wonder what the reason behind this is :S It seems totally uncalled for :S The Dutch royal family are quite a peaceful, friendly family. Thankfully Queen Beatrix is fine...

EDIT: It may just be me, but that car looks as though it has a British number plate - yellow back plate, white front plate (European countries have the opposite).

17 victems of wich
4 confirmed death
5 criticly wounded
and 8 wounded
one of the victems is a young girl around age 8. there is no news about her

according to the police it was an intentional action by the culprit. for now there are no links to any therorist groups. and the culprit has a dutch nationality

I was wrong, it is a Dutch car. The number plate looked alot like MF54 something, which would look British :P
