Hey Richie!

Windows Live Essentials are Essentials for windows live
Windows Live Sign in Assistant is for when you have trouble signing in
Windows Live Upload Tool is for uploading fileS (i think)

I think it's to do with sharing files within your msn lol

If i uninstalled it do you think it would still be possible for me to send Music or Image files to my msn contacts

I not really sure. I've just left it on my computer. Delete it and try it. If not, you can alway re-install it :).

I believe the upload tool is for uploading images and files to Windows Live services, such as Windows Live Gallery. I don't think it will effect uploading music and pictures to contacts on MSN, that's part of the essentials.
