Hi
For a week or so now, I have had this ongoing pain on the right side of my abdomen. Sometimes I cannot feel it, and it just comes on. When it happens, I panic (i have this terrible fear of appendicitis, don't know why) and so automatically assume it is that. However, in reality, I think it's something less serious. It is a mild pain but at points can get severe for a second or so.

You may remember me posting something like this about a month or so ago, and I thought it had gone away but now it's back. Please help, it's worrying!

Edit: I also sometimes when it happens get very faint, hot and light headed.

Feeling faint and dizzy regularly aswell, but no loss of appetite.

I don't mean to alarm you but when I went a checked my mild ongoing abdominal pain it turned out to be Crohn's disease. I'd go and have it checked out/call nhs 24. It's well worthit!

Yeah, Go straight away. When I had a ongoing pain in my chest that I put up with for over a month it turned out to be a collapsed lung. So yeah, make sure you get it checked out.

My mates mum just recently went into Hospital after suffering from really tight and painful stomach problems. It turns out it was her apendicts(sp?) and I don't know if it's the same in your case, but it could be?

Sounds like what I used to get with the stumache pains and dizzyness and feeling faint, I also got searing headaches. Basically, doctor found nothing wrong, hospital doctor found nothing wrong so idk. But I found that it was more to do with anexity etc. My advice is to a) get enough iron as this may help the dizzyness b)Go to the G.P. when its a bad day as they're more likely to diagnose it then rather when a day when its more bareable c) Getting a cool pack for when you feel hot and dizzy as this really helped me.

But deffo go see your doctor.

Id go see the doc. I have personally experienced appendicitis and have had my appendix removed. Its best to get it out before it may possibly get worse. You also get to forget about ever getting appendicitis again too :D

The operation isnt bad :) Only bad bit is staying at the hospital for a few days after while they make sure everything is ok - BORING AS :P

Does kidney stones run in your family? I know it's only usually older people that get them but you never know, one of the main symptoms is pain in your abdomen. The dizzyness and feeling too hot can be a fever, which is also a symptom to kidney stones. I know many people have said appendicitis but you've said you have no loss of appetite so I don't think so. My gran, her sister + my mum and one of her sisters have all had kidney stones but it's much more likely to occur in men, you should see a doctor anyway.

I just noticed youre a dude. It might very well be cancer :x Just go get it checked out. Even if youre getting checked for appendicitis theyll still have to check you down below to make sure.
