You're talking about daddy long legs or whatever I think.
Dragonflies look like this:

Does what you're on about look like this?

I'd say keep your windows shut so they can't get in, or put some insect netting stuff up at the window.

Yeah they're minging lol I usually get them flying into my room in the summer with loads of moths and they like, all have a party around my lightbulbs lol

Stick a bit of thin net curtain around your windowframe on the inside with bluetack and that should stop them coming in when you've got your window open but still let a bit of a breeze in. Or you can get special insect netting stuff which I use, I'm not sure where my mum got it from though.

Thanks for the advice, but its strange i closed the window at about 9pm and they only start assaulting me there, i never seen them flying around etc until about 1am.

EWWW. They are hideous!

I remember when I was little I would pull off each of their legs and let them flap around on the ground with no legs... God I was cruel :S

they like the light so maybe you shouls keep a light on at the other end of the room, also they only live for 24 hours so they should be gone soon :)

I usally lay in bed feel something land next to my face on my pillow, switch on my light and am LIKE ARRG and jump out of bed. The daddy long legs then normally flys and lands on my wall. This is when I find the biggest book and can and WHAM daddy long legs is squashed on the wall.... but I don't want a creepy dead bug squashed on my wall what if it like peels off the wall and lands in my mouth or something... I then find some sort of plastic object and scrape it off the wall and chuck the pieces into my sisters room... thats the normal routine for a normal summers night in my room

They are terrifying and repulsive. Worse that spiders in my opinion, but not quite as scary as wasps...
I'm sorry to tell you that your only option is to move house :P

I was Reading an article about craneflys and in the article it stated that 'These creatures seek revenge for the loss of one of its own'

Yeah we call them daddy longlegs. They have the deadliest venom, however they can't bite you cos they have no teeth! :P

I was gonna say... dragonflys are rare, lol. Getting 5 at time would be very very very un usual. Plus dragonflys die after 24 hours anyway as that's all they live for.

Daddy long legs are a pain :(

GOD i hate those things.
If they're dragonflies DO NOT KILL THEM!! they're endangered!!

Not sure how to rid them apart from killing them once they're in, but to avoid getting them in again dont leavr your windows open with a light on inside.
Or, if you do - just have the curtains closed or something at the same time.
