For all of you that know the owner of HxHD, he is a raving homosexual therefore he LOVES the Eurovision Song Contest - as do many of our wonderful visitors! And in honour of this Europewide event, where lots of countries are bought together and forget about their worries and just sing, HxHD are going full on Eurovision. We've kitted out the desk with our very own stage, with thanks to PriceTags, Catzsy and FlyingJesus who all donated furniture to the desk (and the latter helped with the initial design!). Everyone can get on stage, get in the mood and have a good old song and dance.
We're also holding our own Eurovision Song Contest! It works a little bit differently, for obvious reasons. We're calling out to you to make HxHD a theme song. All you have to do is create your trax using your trax machine, give it a nice name (we don't want Trax 1 playing on the jukebox!) and drop it off in Sammeth.'s donations on a nice shiny CD. You have from now up until the 14th May to do this. Our elite judging panel will listen to all the CDs and pick 5 winners. All of them will win the chance of having their lovely music played out into HxHD on its jukebox, and one lucky winner will win VIP on the forum. All CDs that do not get through, we will try and get back to you as soon as possible so you can use them again.
We will also have a daily quiz in HxHD from the 6th May - 16th May. Every day you can win a HC (and in our big two quizzes on the 15th + 16th, you can also win VIP on top of that!). They will be normal Quizzes with 5 delicious categories - Habbox, Music, Current Affairs, General Knowledge and of course, EUROVISION! These quizzes will be on the following times each day:
6th May - 19:00
7th May - 19:00
8th May - 19:00
9th May - 20:00
10th May - 19:00
11th May - 19:00
12th May - 19:00
13th May - 19:00
14th May - 20:00
15th May - 20:00 - PriceTags
16th May - 19:00 - PriceTags and Sammeth.
This list is as up to date as possible, when we have more hosts for specific days we will update this. We are implementing a rule where you cannot win a quiz two days in a row. This is so we get varying winners rather than the same one each day. You can still take part every day, and we encourage you to do so! I'm sure you understand :)
I'm sure you're wondering why Eurovision is so special to us. Well, it's not just the campness, the music and the dancing we enjoy. It's the sense of togetherness and an amazing feeling of unity that is employed year in year out. During Eurovision, 43 countries set aside their differences and can enjoy a few nights of wonderful fun. We hope you employ the same type of attitude when you are in HxHD - have fun, be kind and don't just limit it to a few days a year.
