A child at my school today Was sent to hospital after having all the signs
of Swine Flu.
Teachers are trying to cover it up , but everyone saw him vomit
on a teachers top.

What do you think?

That he could have just been ill and you are acting extremely over the top, just like most of the country.

Oh boy... ooh look, he's got a runny nose, must be swine flu!

just because he has the symptoms, doesn't mean he has swine flu. confirmation from doctors however will determine whether he has swine flu or not obviously.

Oh dear, Chances are its probably just a bad stomach or something, Where are you from anyway? if there's no reports of swine flu near your town then the probability is that he hasn't got it :P

someone from my school has 'swine-flu like symptoms'.

which lets be honest, could be a the normal flu or an overreaction to a cold.

Just because he was sick doesn't mean he has swine flu, in fact, the odds are that he hasn't.

reminds me of my school, If someone sneezes/coughs/sniffs etc. all you hear is ''SWINE FLU!!!!!!'' ''GET AWAY {S}HE'S GOT SWINE FLU''

but the teachers just joke along anyway :P

Yeah...How do you know he just didn't feel ill/eat something bad/need to throw up? :P

... if you're going to be sarcastic (or serious for that matter) then you have to say it... she couldn't be sarcastic about swine flu if she didn't say something.

No wonder why the suspected cases are like 700 or something, yet they only confirmed about 30. Someone displays one symptom and everyone assumes it's swine flu

only about 28 people out of the billions in England. Where are you from? If your in an area where that have been confirmed cases then they might..

There are two confirmed cases in the small town where my school is, I think they were the 13th and 14th people in the United Kingdom to catch it.

*millions
UK is no where near 100 Million. Let alone a billion ...

And its only 28 now because its only just started and UK are doing a pretty good job at containing it.

Most people here don't think its serious but it is (but not as serious as first predicted). It is worse than normal flu. If not treated, it has a higher change of killing the person.

Don't forget that of the 28 that have been confirmed, half of them are probably recovered now!

I do think people are being a little bit over the top, but if people don't worry about the situation and don't single out the possibility's of someone having the swine flu, it may spread to others. lets be honest there are thousands of students and if one student gets the swine flu and passes it on to other students, this would be hectic and its gonna spread to other students faster especially if its in a schools environment, due to schools aren't very big and students are in a combined space.

Yes, people are over-reacting.
However I think the possibility of a pandemic is quite likely. As somone else said, the fact its going around in 2 pupils, think of all the people they have passed it onto, even a cough in the corridors could pass it onto teachers and pupils who all have family.

but thats exactly like the normal flu. hundreds of thousands of people get the normal flu every year, would you say that every season we have a pandemic?

oh and how did no one else point out the title of this thread? lol. you have a bunch of pigs in your school?
