i'm really annoyed.

this time last year, the current y11 had study leave.

we haven't even been told if we're getting it - just "watch this space".

for the last three years, our school sends a letter home on a thursday night, arriving on saturday, basically saying "dont come back unless for exams"

all other schools in the area are on study leave as of now, or are on it by friday.

i'm really annoyed, i don't think we're going to get study leave :l

Yeah a lot of schools aren't getting this year, do you have to go in when you don't have an exam? We don't but it's been reduced anyway, we only get 2 days off before our first exam whereas last year they got a week n a bit ;_;

Our study leave hasn't really been confirmed, but we been told it will be around the 19th May anyway. :)

My study leave started on the 27th... Our dates were fixed from the beginning of the year. Y11 has study leave first, then Y12 a week after and Y13 another week after.

EDIT: My first exam was last Thursday which was AS German oral, so I don't think it really counts. Physics practical next Tuesday!

I've only got two days aswell, but me being sensible I am going to go in for revision sessions which are held at the times of our normal lessons, which is good :)

i personally believe not having study leave is better as i for one would actually do work in college, whereas at home i'd do nothing.

My study leave is tomorrow, final day.
Well not confirmed but the leavers assembly is tomorrow last two and they tell us not to come in next day.

Yeah, thats the thing I am still going to go in for 80% of my lessons if I want a decent grade.

I see no sense in notifying you of study leave towards your exam dates...

It all depends on your discipline and how smart you are. If you're like certain people in my grade, you don't even need to study at all. One of my friends sleeps in class and gets 95%+ for class tests, which are harder than the actual exam.

It's like fast food, better not to have it, but you want it anyway. But yeah it's not the end all if you don't have it. I break up this Friday for it but will go in next week anyway.

Within the next couple of years there wont be study leave anymore so stop complaining, you aren't the only one who doesn't have, I never had it, not even in sixth form either, so just be thankful that you get to finish up and thats it. I had to stay in school for most of my exams since my lessons were still on in the subjects I hadn't taken the exam in yet.

we get the option and im not taking it this year because last year i just didnt study atall whilst at home - i just went to the beach and told myself i would do it later but never did.

you're better off studyin at school anyway because then your bound to do some studyin and more likely to achieve your potential

We didn't get our study leave last year as our school was transforming into an academy, thus we were being dictated to by senior figures.

I just found out today that I do have study leave! Starts from Friday. Well, we're "supposed" to come into school but they arent going to chase us about if we don't. I'll prob go in for revision sessions though.

Our school ain't getting study leave either.
Instead we just have to attend lessons until we have taken the exam, and then we don't have to attend that lesson anymore.
So some days I could be going in early, and other days I could be going in late.
I personally like the idea as I know for a fact I wouldn't do work at home.

My study leave most likely starts 8th June. I have 3 exams after that.

They decided to keep us at school for as long as possible.

19th May has been confirmed for when we can like "leave". Although we been given times of certain revision lessons. Although the letter is confusing if you have to go in for them or not. But yeah, this Tuesday coming is like the last full day. Well not full as we go at like dinner. :P But you get what I mean!

We dont get study leave. It was demolished two years ago. In my opinion its good because I know for a fact that I wouldnt revise @ home so going 2 school is the better option if I dont want to fail. Yh i know id rather hve study leave but then id flop my exams. Our leavers day is after all exams are over so that way we actually have something to celebrate.

Our school timetable has finished and now we got to school using our normal timetable for the 1st week however as soon as we have taken the exam for a specific subject we no longer are required to go to that lesson and get a FREE lesson meaning we can go home its last lesson.
