Hello,
Well I've pretty much redesigned the project to come up with inane earth.
http://thybag.co.uk/inaneearth/
Inane earth takes inane statements from twitter, live journal, digg and FML and plots them on to a google map in pseudo real time.
Twitter links are click able, as are Digg titles, while LJ posts come with a read more if you want to see the context of blog post the posting came from.
The system can be paused & unpaused by a control menu which also allows you to untick any feeds you don't want to see, so you can filter for the content your interested in.
As a coursework project this is likely as far as i'll get due to the deadline, please report any bugs.
If I get the time I plan to create an inane Earth 2.0 which a totally revised loading system meaning no more load times when the caches refill and more uptodate content with duplicate filtering.

Thanks,
