Before I even decide to leave for a carphone warehouse place. My Nokia 5800 needs fixing. It has this problem:

According to their website it be about £45. Do you think that be right or would they like charge more or something stupid because of the fix?.

You should ring them up to find out how much it'll be.
I think it will be £45, all information on how warranty is void should be in the documentation provided with the phone.

Would it not fall under a PDA because isn't it a smartphone (not sure)

Just done a search on the Nokia discussions area. About two people have said it was like £45 to repair it. So I have to ring them up and find out.
