Oh, i ordered a chirashi from someone on ebay dno if it was the one you suggested but he gives you a free one so hoping its somewhat related tot he one i got. ive looked around and ibe basically found OP movies 2-9 and since movie 10 is out soon 10 should be around somewhere. how big are they roughly?

That trailer is pretty good but of course not as good as EVangelion 2.0. :8

I bought mine from ichijo_123. They are a tiny bit small than an A4 sheet of paper, around 18x26cm.

The Book Depository supposedly refunded me ages ago but the money still isn't in my bank. SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! WHERES MY DAMN MONEY!?!?!?!? How many days on average does it take for a refund to clear?

guessing you paied about £36 for all 3 sets? suppose its same sort of price range then. box set looks better tho. wont have the fancy artwork cases but its the content that counts

Fifteen. A really epic moment just happened a few episodes ago but then there was a single crap episode which kinda made me want to watch something else, so I did and haven't gone back to Eureka Seven yet. :P I will go back to it eventually though, purely because of Anemone. She's awesome! The show has obviously gained a lot of inspiration from Evangelion as well, so I want to see how it is in comparison. What episode are you on?

wel meh box set anyway ^^ i dont have alot of space for my stuff anyway.. my anime is shelf is about to be full and my manga one is already full.. so thinking about clearing more of my shelfs. like my ps2s can go into storage. anyway meh ep 82 of gintama. probably watch up till 90 before doing something else.

hated ema.. i got like £10 a week, cos my parents earned to much. even tho they gave me nothing. and poor familys where getting £100 a month or more and they watsed it on games or drink. annoyed me. its a crap system. yours might be diffrent than scotland tho.

I used to get £20 a week and £10 of that went towards bus travel to get to college, and the other £10 I used for food. Without ema I would of had to walk to college and back every day, which would take around 2 and a half hours and I would have probably starved. It's not a crap system because it obviously benefits me greatly, but a lot of people don't need it.

I have three shelfs of manga. I've started doing double rows now lol. :P Same with my anime, actually... I have a couple of DVDS just stacked on the shelf in front of the others because I have no where to put them.

yea ive been doing doubles. whats annoying is i could have fitted my z manga in 1 row but i would get the last book in. lol.

Anyway went on rightstuff and just preordered ma stuff.
OP Season two = ive gotten the next 3 dvds
Dragon box = instead of like $80 getting it for like $50
NHK season set im getting for $41
Dragonball season set i worked it all out. £10.80 <- awesome. seeing as i payed £22 for my Z's

And thats it so far may take advantage and buy DGM, and ore order my SGT frog etc but i wanna keep money for manga and stuff from japan.

Watched the first 10 episodes of Welcome to The NHK as that's all I've downloaded.
It's awesome, I wanted to watch more when I was on holiday. Going to watch more tonight. I accidently downloaded the dubbed version but surprisingly it's actually decent.

im really liking eureka 7, the characters are real good and the story is quite interesting. Only on ep 25 so am not even nearly there but i do like it so far. It made me feel really sad at one point, the sadness only utawarerumono has made me feel, perhaps something else.

Some scenes in Utawarerumono are the very embodiment of sadness. Especially this one...

The first episode of the OVA has been out for a while by the way. Although it's probably not what you were expecting. :P Utawarerumono is based on a game of the same name, and the series left out a lot of the side stories when adapting it into an anime. The OVA is now being made to include those side stories. The OVA is made by different people though, so the look and design is very different, although it looks more crisp and up to date. Since the game is actually an eroge the OVA does include some eechi scenes, unlike the series. Most notably the one where all of the females characters are taking a bath naked. You only see their boobs and nothing else and it only lasts for about 3 minutes, but if you don't want to see that then it's probably best giving the OVA a miss. You're not missing much anyway, the first episode wasn't that good. Although the new opening is amazing. It contains some amazing scenes like this...

Get a proxy list and put in a american one, it'll let you stream stuff

Just get whatever interests you the most. I got the limited super special edition because I'm a huge fan of TTGL and a sucker for merchandise. If you just want to watch the anime get the cheapest DVDs, which should be the ones with no dub. But if you just want to watch the anime you might as well download it because fansubs are better.

Yea im the same for like special edition stuff aswell. Got the special edition of the FMA movie. Just cant decide whats better. Like ost, manga, keychain thing are all pretty good. think ill go with that only problem is i cant figure which one part 2 is since theres to many.

It's meant to show Ryuujis need to protect taiga, there's no other way to show that.

Taiga can look after her self, shes a tsundere who beats the crap out of the male lead and she didn't want to trust her dad in the first place. I think the episode was more about Ryuuji trying to protect Taiga, but realising that she doesn't need it.

Sorry, but I wouldn't sign that petition. My favourite series would no doubt be ruined somewhere along the line, and it's the end of the world if Gintama ever gets dubbed. A petition would be useless to try and get a licensor to release Gintama anyway. Just stick to buying the manga or buy the Japanese DVDs if you want to own it so bad. :P

jp dvds have no subs. so yea lol. and i am buying the manga. but meh :[ just dont watch the dub then lol. and im sur eit wouldnt be ruined. only 2 things i would annoy me tho.

1. removing the jokes to be more western
2. Subbing it the way its suppose to be but not adding in notes. tho if they added in a booklet with all these things then that would make up for it imo.

Suppose ill stick to fansubs atm then.. i'll start d/l when my i stop being throttled.

Making it Western is ruining it, and there will surely be many mistakes and changes in the subtitles.

I have every episode downloaded, but what annoys me is that not one group has subbed it all. Rumbel have done up to episode 119, you can't download 120 to 128 subbed, HorrbileSubs have 129 to 165, then three other groups have from 166 to the most current episode, and while HorribleSubs released only 420p episodes, the other groups only release 720p episodes. Also, every Rumbel episode I have is avi and all the others are mkv. :P I like consistancy, but there is none. :(

I just finished rewatching Baccano. Damn, what an amazing series. It has the second best cast of characters ever in my opinion, only second to Gintama. What shall I watch now... I feel like a bit of Welcome to the NHK!

lol yup. ive ordered the Gurren laggan dvd and i was trying to work out which one i got. so type in the name from amazon onto youtube to see if someone had a review. and was ur video showing your anime, and the box. i think its the box ive ordered. does the box have room for the other dvds?

Yes, it does. I one I bought was the Beez European special edition though. Something about it is different from America's release. I don't know if it's the box, the merchandise that comes with it or the on disc extras, but the Region 2 one has more extra stuff than the Region 1 one.

yes thats the best one to get for region 2. i might be buying that aswell, Just applied for a new job. Desktop suppourt technician in a college so that should bring me even more money lol. tho i wont be spending it all be saving it up.

That's the one I have, and it's pretty much the best one in the world. I would pay for the booklet you get with it alone, it explains so much. I'd recommend it, especially since its only £48.

Episode 57 of Hajime no Ippo was one of the best anime episodes ever. Not even Gurren Lagann left me this speechless, and I think it beats Death Note in terms of how intense it was. This series is going into my top five for sure.

Just buy the Ultimate edtion. You get the original and remastered DVD. The subs are fine.

Yeah it was really good, better than I expected. The animation, storyline and even the 10 episodes that I watched dubbed were good. I'd probably give it a 9/10 because I would have like a few more episodes but still good ;]

Don't worry about 'The Fighting' in the title, that's just engrish. It's actually known as Fighting Spirit overseas, as well as Hajime no Ippo. I haven't really researched into DVDs or anything but I know it was released in America in two parts. Both parts should have around 38 episodes. The manga was never translated and released outside of Japan, probably because it's currently 88 volumes long and still going. That would require a lot of dedication from translators, licensors and distributors.

Lol, an 'external'. :P I love how you don't even say hard drive. But seriously, why are you downloading it via megaupload? It's slow and your speed will get cut. Theres a great torrent on boxtorrents that has the entire series, the OVA and the movie, it's well seeded and fast.

Yeah, I mentioned the third series earlier. Rikiya Koyama, the best voice actor EVAR, leaked the news a couple of months back. The second series has also been praised as much and rated as high as the first, if not more so. My download is at 92.6% so that'll be finished soon. Can't wait to watch it!

The second series only just finished recently, and I think Japan have only recently released the last DVD. Theres no way that will be released anywhere else in a while.

Amazon have two DVDs titled Fighting Spirit Part 1 and Fighting Spirit Part 2. The aparrent running time on each is long enough to have all 76 episode between them.

Boxtorrents isn't working for me at the moment but theres definitely a good torrent on there. Just search Hajime no Ippo on the website and you'll find it.

I'll help you out with your website if you want. Although I don't know what I would do. I don't really know anything about coding or html, but I'm confident in my knowledge of anime and manga.

Yea i seen them there asking for way to much tho over £100 on amazon.. and playusa is out of stock. so might have to hunt around.

I found a torrent with everything bar the 2nd series. space fo an hour its only had 0.4 and it was a good torrent :( think im being throttled again now.. lol.

its content im looking for. but i dunnow how i want the site to be like yet. since im going to have to be paying for all of this lol.. i know there will be some sort of dvd reviews. that way can link them to sights and get commission on sales lol.

So last night was watching Hajime no ippo and it is really good. lol at the shower scene xD im on ep 6-7. May look for these box sets.

and im opposite. each ep using DDL takes like 7-10 mins. where as in an hour torrent gave me 0.4 =/ one piece usually done in 10 mins with torrent xD

Anyway yea when i decide what im doing witht he site ill see. sine there alot of sites out there and i want to make ine sort of diffrent

Did you get the extras with your Gurren Lagann DVD? I got a core drill that lights up, a Gurren Brigade logo you can iron on to your clothes and a badge that resembles Yoko's hairpin.

I was in London yesterday so I bought a few things, and my ema bonus finally came so I ordered a few things. I bought the Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex Trilogy Collection, so now I have every Ghost in the Shell DVD released over here, and I bought Nodame Cantabile volume 2 and Yotsuba&! volume 3. I actually don't know why I bought Yotsuba because I don't have volume 1 & 2 and the company that released it, ADV manga, went out of business after the fifth volume. I plan to read volume 1 and 2 online, and I've ordered volume 4 and 5 but when Yen Press start releasing it next month I bet they're going to totally change the covers and everything. I sense inconsistencies on the horizon. That will annoy me.

and yes i got the same stuff as you. box is nice lol. was amused with the magnetic lid for about 10 mins >.> would be better if the drill glowed like in the show not just a constant light but meh. freebie.

i have to say they did a good job with the dvd with the menu's. anyway watched 2-3 before work might watch more later.. tbh rather watch hajime no ippo xD its really good T.T looked earlier for the dvds. found a few sites but they looked bootleggish to me. they didnt have the "8 discs" ont he cover like the one amazons shows and says its 4 discs.. so meh..

I wasn't really impressed with the menu, it's just like every other menu I've seen. :P The disclaimer you can't skip at the beginning is annoying as well. Also, It would be nice if they actually looped the whole song on the menu and not just a couple of seconds. Oh well...

When you get to the Giga Drill Breaker episode please note that it is clearly the Giga Drill BREAKER and not just the Giga Drill BREAK as the English dub and subtitles call it. Why are fansubs always better? I don't get it!

The Hajime no Ippo DVDs are probably long out of print by now. You'll probably only find bootlegs. Glad you're enjoying it though. :D What episode you up to? I watched the movie yesterday, which was epic, and I'm about to watch the OVA. Then onto the second season which finished downloading earlier!

Anyway yea that won't bother me. just one tiny mistake. Funi acidently had a wanted poster saying "Zolo" on the uncut dvd. it was there for maybe like.. half of a second. lol people moaning about Gum Gum instead of Gomu Gomu. you know that there saying so dosent really matter xD

I just finished the OVA and it was sooooooooooo good. It was annoying to watchthough because I have the most annoying virus ever. It kept exiting full screen on windows media player every five minutes or so because it keeps activating itself in the background. It disables every anti virus program I have and closes everything if I download and attempt to run another virus scan in specific places on my computer as well. What an annoying virus. I think I got it from some dodgy torrent site as well... I just went on the site then suddenly my firewall turned itself off and I had some super viruses. :S

It does matter because they're translating it wrong. :'(

I know, I'm so regretting not backing up anything now. I used the repair option on the windows disc the computer came with and it ruined it. I got the black screen of death. I then tried to fix it using the recovery console and it got even more ****** and now my system file is corrupt or missing. Windows ruined my computer. I think my stuff is still on there but I have no idea how to get it working again. I've wasted two days of my life trying to fix it only to come out worse than it was... I haven't been so angry in a loooooong time. -_-

Mashiba is a beast. The OVA with him in is reeeeeaaaalllllly good. The great thing about Hajime no Ippo is that when you think you've seen everything, you haven't. When you think it's reached its limit, it hasn't. Every fight is ten times more amazing than the one before it.

Whoever dubbed Kamina is actually alright. They probably picked the best person for the job, but I still much perfer the Japanese version.

The best voice actor ever is in Hajime no Ippo... Rikiya Koyama yeeeeeeeeah!!!!!!!! What a legend. Now if only they had Kobayashi Yuu in there as well.

How'd you get spoiled about the Dempsy Roll? I actually started watching Hajime no Ippo because I saw how epic it was after seeing the first scene from Champion Road (the movie) which is a recap of the last fight in the series. It was annoying knowing the outcome of the fight prior to even watching the series, but it didn't take away from the enjoyment.

The dempsy roll is like boxings giga drill breaker. It's amazing. :P

Ahh Vorg, what a legend. Another thing I love about Hajime no Ippo is that it introduces a lot of characters later on in the series, but you can't help but love them as much as the main characters introduced right at the beginning. Every character has a place and a purpose, it's great.

Who are you refering to when you say 'he' though? :P Vorg has more than one fight.

Ghost in the Shell is great, but its not an anime everyone is going to like. If you like the movies you'll like the series.

Original Ghost in the Shell > BluRay Ghost in the Shell

The new CG scenes are lame, the original traditional aimation is much better.

By the way, the three disc movie set is the series movies. The first two, The Laughing Man and The Individual Eleven, are the story episodes from the series squashed into two hours to make a movie. The last movie, Solid State Society, is an original movie derived from the series. The actual movies that started everything are called 'Ghost in the Shell' and 'Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence'. So theres actually five movies in total. I doubt there would ever be BluRay versions of the first two series movies.

Yes, Innocence is BluRay because that came out in 2004 but the SERIES MOVIES will not be released in BluRay.

love the 1st 2 OP's lol, just me or the 3rd OP have the same sort of.. dunno how to put it. sounds like triguns opening but just like instruments and stuff.

And im stuck on dvds to buy.. paranoia agent. theres 2 diffrent dvds. A thin and thick box set if theres no decent extras on the large one then may go for the thinner one. also looking at Outlaw star and trigun box sets.

BUT WHAT WAS THE LAST FIGHT YOU SAW?

The third opening is lame but the first two are some of the best ever created in my opinion.

Dunno what Paranoia Agent boxset I have but I assume they're the same, only ones smaller. :S

Same! I'm surprised everyone I asked wanted Vorg to win instead of Sendo, because when Sendo was first introduced he was awesome. But during his fight with Vorg, as you say, he did get a bit smug. Vorg clearly won as well, he was ahead by points, but the judges weren't on his side.

Hajime No Ippo is so epic. I never thought I'd get so drawn into it but I have. The little thing that breaks up the episode where the adverts come in and they play a badass guitar solo with a still of Ippo. It reminds me of Street Fighter xD

The animation is amazing. Especially during the fights. It is in a lot of older series really. Cowboy Bebop, Golden Boy, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Gunbuster, etc. They all have amazing animation and were made over ten years ago.

Also Hajime no Ippo's second opening is the best song ever.

Anyway, started watching Dennou Coil yesterday. The first episode was really good, and I'm really liking the whole concept. It's set in the near future where digital reality technology is a part of life. It's nothing as complex as Ghost in the Shell, but still manages to have a very indepth view of the subject.

Loooool I feel your pain. I want to buy Avatar and some movies. I spent £20 on a 6 minute animated short so I have no money left though, lol. Im a bit disappointed that Season 2 of Hajime No Ippo is only 26 episodes. The series is so epic, do not want to end. Im on Ep55 Season 1.

I don't think the fact that the manga is weekly even matters. The manga is like 90 volumes long so far, theres loads more material to animate. They'll never catch up. :P

Actually Hajime no Ippo is a prime example of how to make a long manga into an anime. Forget fillers, take long breaks between each season. The outcome is something that continues to be awesome throughout.

The opening for new Challenger is awesome. One of my all time favourites in fact. Oooh, you're nearly at the fight with Hawk. The best fight in the entire series, and one of the best fights in anime. Period. I love how the second half of New Challenger focuses greatly on Takamura. He's awesome. I cried manly tears in episode 23.

Just stay away from everything Ippo related until the fight is over. I ended up spoiling myself and although the fight was ******* awesome it could have been even better if I didn't already know the outcome. :(

Yep, that's pretty much the definition of a filler ending. Dragged-out, boring and long. The manga is so much better. After the battle of the north...

Only a few Claymores survive, the main ones being Clare, Miria, Helen and Deneve. They desert the organisation and have grown in strength phenomenally after training in secret for eight years. Because of isolated training they are now able to hide their yoki without the use of those pills, so they can travel around undetected.

Isley killed Luciela (the third abyssal awakened being) and Riful declared war on him. Luciela's body is then found by Rafaela, the organisations number 5 who is also Luciela's sister. She tries to revive Luciela by letting some of her yoki flow into Luciela's body, but it fails and they both kind of merge together and go into a coma like state.

Miria later reveals that the Claymores are just tests subjects or prawns for a bigger war that is taking place on the main land, over the sea. The organisation came to being because the side on the losing end of the war needed more power, so they created yoma to use in battle and it kept going from there.

Isley died, got killed by the organisations new immortal awakened being hunters. It was a very sad death and his dying words were that he wanted to be with Priscilla and Raki, whom he had been travelling with until then. He was a changed man and no longer wanted to dominate the country, but just to live in peace.

The immortal awakened being hunters are also currently fighting Riful and Dauf, as is the organisations number 1 and number 2. In the midst of all this Riful awakened the merged Rafaela and Luciela who turned into some kind of super being. The super being infected Beth (the organisations number 2) with some crazy missile and she has now been taken over, which also resulted in Alicia (number 1) being taken over because Beth was the person who controlled her in battle.

Oh and Raki is a badass, he can finally slay yoma. He's travelling around with Priscilla, who has shrunk in size because she hasn't eaten anything in seven years or so. Raki knows shes an awaken being and presumably got her to change her ways along with Isley. No idea what will happen when Clare finds her though. In the latest chapter she saved Raki's life by moving him out of the way of one of the missiles. Looks like hes going to have to fight an awakened being now, but I think Priscilla will intervine.

Damn, doesn't anyone here read Claymore? No one to discuss it with. :(

Takamura was indeed badass. I love how he completely dominated Hawk in the end, dodging his punch then slamming a left right into his face. Then he pummeled him against the ropes - hell yeah! The Takamura statues and Itagaki's family were priceless. Poor Aoki though. I feel so sorry for the guy, haha. Hajime no Ippo is actually REALLY funny.

I want to read the manga as well but it just won't be the same. :P If I do read it I'll want to read it from the beginning as well, and that means I'll have a lot to catch up. :eusa_wall

Soooo... first season or second season... which did you like best? :D

As a whole. i liked the 1st season because ippo was training and climing up.
where as the 2nd it was just defending and takamaru's fight

Tho best end of season fight.. Takamaru>Ippo. His fight as just better

I feel the same way but I liked that New Challenger changed the pace. The only thing I didn't like in New Challenger was that they changed Kumi's seiyu. Although I guess shes only in like one episode so it doesn't really matter. :P That's the problem with a 26 episode series, not enough time to focus on each character. By the way, don't forget Miyata and Date's fights. It wasn't just Ippo defending and Takamura vs Hawk. :P Ippo doesn't really get much focus in New Challenger now that I think about it.

It annoys me when i see people saying "One Piece is a baby anime" Its alot better than Naruto anyway. If nothing interesting happens this week in the manga then im dropping naruto.. just dragging on and getting to crap. ill probably Buy the manga up until a certain point tho. already got 1-16.

People just put it off because its a long series.. should watch one of the movies before starting the series. i dno. i think there was another 3 people i know off who watched OP and 2 off them i think have dropped it. other was caught up.

ADV are selling off all their assets... I'm heartbroken! They used to be the largest anime company in the world, just how did this happen? I guess the anime industry really is in a bad state. They reported that their anime DVD sales had dropped by almost 50% in only a couple of years. Why must this happen to ADV of all companies!?

Yea Funimation own the anime market now. lol.. there getting all the big titles. have lots of series, And they got a bunch of title from Geneon cos they went bust so they might get more. There doing pretty well from them selfs.

More like they're just milking the product now. :P I don't really care for dubs, although the only ones I do like are done by ADV (Guyver, The Place Promised In Our Early Days). I like ADV simply because they are fans. I would just walk up to them at the Expo and have a chat, but I couldn't do that with anyone else there (except for that legend guy selling manga). They knew their stuff, and they knew exactly what the fans wanted, and so its what they gave us. Accurate translations, no Americanization, loads of Japanese extras, free booklets, etc. I haven't come across any other anime company that has pleased me as much as ADV with their releases. Also, as if it wasn't already a huge shame, if ADV didn't get into money problems we would have seen a live action Evangelion done right in the near future. I guess that project can now be classed as cancelled.

came today along with my Ghost in the shell movie pack and Shigurui.
had a quick look at them and stuff.

N.G.E awesome. yea i got the platinum edition. Booklet is awesome will make a good read once i watch the dvds. the tin was smaller than i was expecting. i dunno was expecting a box similar to my Guild Wars CE.

GITS: Double pack looks good going to watch the 1st one tonight. nice box to keep the dvds in.

Shigurui: Looks good watch the 1st few minutes and its a bit gory. Funi dub so looks good. because its Manga dvd i was checking the subs and they seem to be ok only complaint is the subs are yellow not white. white is minor but not use to yellow xD

Damn, I haven't bought any anime in ages! I think I'm going to have to buy the rest of Satoshi Kon's movies very soon though. I watched Paprika yesterday and it was amazing. The opening scene (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xqg3Sw3s9Wg) is so creative, and it has one of the best movie soundtracks ever!

I have Millennium Actress, Tokyo Godfathers and Paranoia Agent, just need to buy Memories, Paprika and Perfect Blue. :D Sword of the Stranger is out on DVD in just over a month as well. Must buy that!
