My current one in office is SAMSUNG, however sadly it is now starting to go onto a black screen quite often, and if I turn PC off, and someone else tries to come on before leaving it off for 15 mins it still wont work!

I wouldnt of purchased the Extra Value one as the name gives away what it will be like and probably end up with dead pixels etc.

One main thing about it is that it is not a known brand!

If it was a known brand i reckon it would have been worth more :)

According to reviews, it doesn't have dead pixels :)

If ebuyer has anything, its superb customer service. If the screen came with dead pixels you could simply ask them to replace it with one that didn't.

Brands arnt everything, generally you'll find your just paying a bit extra to have a logo slapped on the same hardware you'd have got if you brought the unbranded stuff.

Yeh thats why I went for this one.

I decided - since the three screens had very similar specs - it was most likely to be because the others had 'LG' or 'SAMSUNG' printed on them.

---

The other reason was the built in speakers - they migh be crap - but worthh a try at saving space!

Some of the budget branded LCDs are actually Samsung/LG panels rebranded.
Google the brand name and see what turns up. You should be able to find reviews too.

But get a Dell or a Samsung.

I have a Dell SE198WFP and the quality is superb!

Im avoiding samsung, since the one I just got rid of messed up for no reason!

And yeh I'll probably get a better known one for upstairs, but my dad paid for this one (since its in office not my room)
