Images on the back of cigarette packets [Archive]

For quite a few months now, there's been some images on the back of cigarette packets to try and encourage quitting smoking.

The question is, do they work on you? They make me think "eurgh!", but it doesn't really make me want to quit.. for some reason.

Tbh, it makes me laugh.. because.. Think about it.. is a smoker really going to stop just because they see that?

Most of my family smokes and it wont make them quit. It does look a bit mingin and it doesn't really change my opinion on smoking. I'm aware of how it affects your health which is why I don't want to smoke, so it doesn't really make a difference to me.

Pictures arnt gonna make you stop smoking.

If they want to stop people smoking they take it out of distribution.

ive never been a heavy smoker
but when i did smoke, i saw these pictures..
and they did put me off, so i stopped.

havent smoked one since :).

Im all for them. Think they are good, but then again, if people wanna, let em smoke, they are simply *Removed* their bodies up.

and the cigarette packs here have rly rly nasty pics. like bloody foetus (puke) and swollen & bloody mouth & feet its just disgusting k. how people are not put off by those graphics and still continue smoking, i have no idea.

The sight of em made me smoke more, in the end I changed packets to ones that don't display them, should have a choice if we want pictures on them! :(

They should actively encourage people to smoke. It keeps taxes lower for us non smokers (smokers should also be banned from using the NHS for smoking related problems otherwise it would be counter intuitive).

This is not my idea, it is just a suggestion. They're stupid enough to smoke so we should find a way to coax money out of them.
