View Full Version : can you lose marks for writing too much in an exam?

yeah, for my film exam i kinda wrote 19 sides whereas everyone else only wrote like 6/7/8 all together. there were 3 40 mark questions & i wrote 6 sides for the first, 6 for the second and 7 for the third.

You can talk yourself out of marks if you write the correct answer and then write the wrong answers because it shows you don't really understand and are just writing down anything you know about the topic

but if all the answers you write are correct then you wont get marks taken off of you

If anybody took Welsh, for a mock Welsh Lit paper I wrote 4 sides and like.. erm got marked down because I was waffeling ;D

Im sure you won't lose marks you might get a top mark, it's up to the marker lol.

writing cogently is a skill usually held by A-A* Candidates. You're unlikely to lose marks unless if you digressed however.

yeah, i hope i don't lose marks. but i do have the tendency to waffle, but usually still remain on-topic. just hope everything i wrote down is relevant lol.

you cant lose marks from writing too much :P
but when you write too much you tend to make more mistakes.
