After a fresh install on a new drive everything seemed to be working fine but after about 2 minutes everything become unresponsive and froze up. Restarted, same thing happened. And it now takes ages for vista to boot.

Any ideas what's up?

Edit: Never mind, fixed it. Turns out turning it off at the wall is a great way of fixing computers...

Ha, so true :P When I got mine it didn't agree with an update until it was switched off at the wall. I think that may have a proper name, it's like a different sort of reboot if I'm not mistaken?

It's certainly a possibility. Switching it off at the wall and waiting a few seconds discharges any electricity that is floating around in there.
