im watching elfen lied because jen recommended it and wow these 2 animes are quite the same lol

there both about an alien or some sort being lost and someone finding them (male) Inviting them into there house and they dont speak english

For discussion of a specific anime rather than a big jumble. Although there is a thread for Manga admitedly there are less people who read manga than watch anime on the forum, from what I gather. That being said people tend to hijack threads in here anyway. :D

Just to be on topic sorta. Elfien Leid i have a bundle of people telling me its awesome and nother group of people telling me its overated. so bleh when the box set gets a bit cheaper i'll buy it.

He pointed it out in his second post, so if you want to crticise someone make sure it's actual legit, I know you don't like him from various other threads just because he likes dubs but leave him alone :)
Don't see why he can't post his own thread, it's not like you don't have a section to post anime in and just one thread so he can post it if he likes. I know a lot of people don't like Elfen Lied for the nudity and violence (especially in ep 8) but I like the whole story line between her & another character as children and how she remembers even though she 'loses her memory' kind of(don't want to spoil for the people that don't watch it because it's "too violent" :rolleyes:) it's much more than just violence. Anyway, might try out dearS later, which one do you reckon is better Jord?

The users of this anime section fought long and hard against admins for this forum, they argued it can be contained into a single thread and that's exactly what you're doing! The anime section is to discuss what you are watching, not to be ruled over because some **** wants his thread to be popular. I always thought of that general discussion thread to be kind of about posting watch your watching, but not caring about replies. Whilst this thread discussing more detailed about what he is watching, meaning he gets some better replies than he would in the general discussion.

Nah i just take peoples opinions to help me decide. For example. I liked the look of D.Gray Man people started talking about it here. It got a postive feedback so i bought the dvd. Majority of people ive spoken to about it said it wasnt very good and wasn't worth wasting money on unless it falls down in price.

I created the general discussion for everything and anything, but that doesn't mean it has to be used all the time. Topics like the Bleach thread and the collection thread do well on their own. The general discussion is more for things that probably don't warrent their own thread, like the Evangelion movie for example. I posted about that in the general discussion knowing it would be pointless creating a thread for it because I'm the only person who has seen it. Anyone is welcome to post anything in the the general discussion, be it recommendations, debates, discussion, etc... but they don't have to. Make a seperate thread for it if you want, although general discussion threads are supposed to be threads everyone can take part in, so it makes more sense to post things such as questions, help, single episode discussion and so on in there instead of making a seperate thread. Anyway, it's obvious everything we post about can't be contained in a single thread. Use the general discussion if you want, if you don't want to then don't. Simple.

On topic - I'm watching quite a few things but the main ones being Gintama and Higashi no Eden. I'm also downloading the BLAME! anime right now since I've nearly finished the manga.

I'm not denying that I have ripped him for watching dubs because I have. However in this thread I was perfectly nice to him and I only expressed my opinion on whether or not the thread was really necessary later on when it was brought up by someone else.
