View Full Version : Super glue on my top!

Hey guys, I need your help here :)

I have dry super glue on my school jersey and it won't come off but you see the mark and all and arghh when I washed it it became even more visible, how do I get it off? Because it really ruins the whole thing and all I want is to just wear my top without something like that on the back!

I'll pay a HC to the person with the most successful help, though I prefer those want to help voluntarily and not for furniture, I will pay if you're desperate...

Thanks for your time.

Edit - Does anyone know the type of glue they use on sport jerseys to stick those name things and the number of their team? :D

Ask a woman :P

Give it a good poke! If that doesnt work, and its small, cut out the area where it is, then restitch it.

Ah I like that but I don't want to restitch, I'm bad with sowing and I don't think I have the string for it, like, the right colour!

I dont know if this works but you could try...
Pour a little bit of acetone-base nail polish remover on a white terry cloth.
Dab at the dried glue until it dissolves.
Use extra fine sandpaper to remove dried glue from the surface of an object.
Try a product called Goof-Off or Z-7 Debonder.
* I dunno if the nail polish thing damages it, I dont think so.. *

I don't think you can get it out. Here's things to try;
Use ice it gets rid of chewing gum O.o
Use soap and just try and rub it out
Wash it at a really hot temp
I dunno really :D

Or you could just go to the laundrets *I think I spelt it right. They would always be able to tell you what's going on.

Mum to sow? She'd never do a thing like that :P I should have complained to the company about it when I had the chance :)

Sorry to revive an old thread everyone...
But is acetone nail polish remover the same as non-acetone nail polish remover? Obviously without the acetone ingredient, but is it as effective?

My dad says the acetone would be more effective if used really carefully? O=]
"Use blotting paper, or paper towl to blotter away instead of wiping it away. Blot it away."

He saiidd.
Acetone would probably be more effective if it's used right...
Like, be careful xD Don't use too much. And don't try wiping it, try like urm.. Blotting xD I know what he means, I don't think I can explain it =/

Edit: "Dabbing it, instead of wiping it"
Dabbing makes more sense :o

no, you must not do that. superglue sticks things within seconds and is virtually impossible to remove. if you stick your fingers together you have to go into hospital. that's what happened to me.

Mind you people, I only got one-tenth of the dry super glue stain off! :( Oh man! *annoyed* :P
