DJ Of the Week?

hey,

I have been wandering why habbox don't do a DJ of the Week thing?

Like a poll on the main site/forum with allthe DJ's names.

The winning dj each week wins a month of VIP/a Trophy.

This should be done as;

1) It will get DJ's to try and DJ more.
2) It will help habbox know what DJ's are liked the most!

We do have staff of the month in the department they are picked by management, people who have done that bit more in the month for Habboxlive and it's a months VIP they get :8

Sounds good, but I still think the actual 400+ listeners should get a say!

As there is one member of management, who I shall not name, does not have a clue ;)

It's decided between 4 people ;).

Thats gotta be disheartening to a DJ if month in month out they get less votes than everyone else. I think its fairer to let the management decide, they won't pick the same people every month and they know exactly what they've done on HabboxLive and behind the scenes to as the DJs put in a lot of work. :8

We did try it a couple of times but it was like when the poll was up the first DJs on did stuff to get votes and that was that. I much prefer the way where management pick because like Sam said we can see exactly what everyone has done and different people can get it.

Public votes would also suck as DJ's would be like "vote me for DJ of the month, when i get 300 i'll do a competition" or something lmao, wouldn't surprise me.

I remember doing it in 2005. The listeners just voted for habbox management, admins and people high up.

Perhaps the managers could select 3 or 4 'worthy' members of staff to be put up for voting each week?

It would turn into a popularity contest or a case of DJs directly or indirectly trying to wangle votes. It's much simpler with managers picking I think.

I guess it would be - but it would show them people don't like what they are doing - so they may improve!

I wouldn't go as far as calling them DJs...

Hey,

I don't think this would work unfortunately, as many of the posts before have explained, also it would be unfair if one of the djs didn't get picked once and perhaps if this happened the DJ would feel like there a rubbish DJ because no-one voted for them, i think Management is the best way because management notice whats going on, in the habboxlive section of the forum and on the radio.
