idk where to post this but thought it was related to Habbo so:

After nearly 2 years of proving file hosting to the Habbo community and many other non-Habbo users, we have needed to close our doors forever. I am sorry to all the people who use HabboUpload to host files but it's down to running out of space and money.

I would like to say thank you to the people who used HabboUpload! Your files will be here till May 25th 2009. If your interested, carry on reading...

So why was HabboUpload started?

Back in June 2007, one of the top file hosting sites 'need2upload' (remember?) closed just like that. No notices or anything. After users of need2upload had no where else to host their files I decided to start HabboUpload! A few people said I would never be able to keep it going for more than a year and would fail. So I set out to prove them wrong, and did I! (plus I have learnt alot in website coding and designing).

Starting from shared hosting, HabboUpload became very popoular and was getting about 150 uploads a day. After using all the space I had, I upgraded to - Webhosting.uk.com - onto a VPS. After many months of going up the VPS packages it came to the point that a Dedicated Server was needed, sadly that was going to cost about £110 a month. Money I did not have at that time. So I went for a semi-dedicated server which is what we are on now.

It's now come to the point where HabboUpload has nearly reached the limit on the drive (70gbs) and only have 3% left. With the next upgrade going to cost around £100 a month, sadly it's money I do not have. The advertising does not provide enough money to pay for the current package as it is.

So it's come to that time where HabboUpload has to close (unless I win the lottery) due to funding. If I could keep it running I would, but it looks like it wont be happening. Will HabboUpload return? I’m not sure.

The forum takes up hardly anything. I could delete the files but the way the world is at the moment with this recession, the company I work does not have much work on at the moment so i need to save my money.

sorry to the people who use HU.
