I think I did well, but I always think that when it comes to Maths and I do awful. I think i'll get a D in august though, it is my worst subject and I cannot stand it.

Was your paper including like bearings of runways and such.

If so I thought there was some *easy* questions but then some was ridiculously hard ones.

Oh come on, paper 1 is foundation. Has to be easy.

No need to be so ignorant. Just because you find maths easy doesn't mean everyone does so even if it was foundation somepeople might find it hard. Does anyone have any links to GCSE Maths past papers? I do it for AS but can't remember at all what the GCSE papers were like.

i thought it was a really bizarre paper, cant decide if it was easy or hard

It was okay! Did anybody get the question where it was going on about green yellow and blue counters and at the last part it was like "There are 2x as many blue counters as green" how many blue counters are there?!!!!!!! :S! It confused me.

I hate maths exams, its more like trick questions than actual maths

Like it says do blahblahblah, so you write down the answer and then you think "WAIT A MINUTE, ******S TRYNA TRICK ME YOU ******* STUPID **** PAPER"

Yeah, I had that. I take it that meant you had to do an angle bisector to get only one side (before AC)?

I had the one with magazines, but there was no point where you had to write porn?!

It asked how many times people read the magazines, not what magazines they read.

My teacher told me 10 minutes before the exam "Oh you won't need a protractor" how wrong she was :P

I did that one - that's Edexcel GCSE Mathematics Modular (not linear as so many people seem to think!).

I thought it was rather tough.

with the edexcel one i just found there was barely any algebra and there wasnt much on there that you could really revise for
it was different to other mocks!

I did AQA higher it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be, the only question I had a real problem was the very last one about the height of the cone, I could work out the radius fine it was just the height ;[
Maybe I'll get myself a mark by copying the forumula from the front of the paper to the question *crosses fingers*

and for the person who questioned me writing the word porn in the exam - we had to create a questionaire asking what type of magazines people were interested in :P

no lol each paper can be done in either tier. Also is this Module 5 or Mod 1 because year 10s have mod 1 coming up aswell.

I know, but it's calculator, so it will probably either have complicated sim. equations which suck, most probably not surds (i'll be surprised if there are!), but there should be vectors, as there weren't any on this paper.

It missed out basically everything!!

and yeah
vectors are okay ish

and yeah i know :S there was barely anything we had like learnt on the paper it was all just general maths knowledge bar a few things

I did Edexcel GCSE higher tier, no-one here seems to have done it.
The first question was about someone making a food, and you had to write the ingredients, and the second question was an "multiplying fractions". There were also questions about someone making profit on melons.

Write the ingredients for making food? So that's just like, they give you the list for 3 people and you have to multiply it to make it for 12 people or sth like that?

I have my maths paper 2 calc and non calc in 9 hours. I am with CCEA. Bricking it tbh Im getting 60% in my past papers but I need 50% for a C.

the question about 4cm from B did mean u had to use a compass and bisect and stuff. that was dead easy i found.

with transformations which was the last question i dont understand y the put it in cause u do transformations of f(x) at C1 maths which is alevel.

this paper was a resit and im about take C1 which was how i found that last question easy.
