Danny was shot by Serena who says it was completely by accident. When visiting him in hospital, Serena herself was shot and both were fighting for their lives. But, as they recovered, a detective walked in and revealed somebody had come forward for shooting both Danny and Serena...

# We open with Danny bursting through his door with another guy, they both fall on the bed. Cut to later on, both lie in the bed #

Guy: Wow, that was hot

Danny: Yes

Guy: Was it good for you?

Danny: I’ve had better

Guy: Huh?

Danny: You can go now

Guy: You’re kicking me out?!

Danny: Are you an idiot or something, get the hell out of my room!

Guy: Christ, you jerk

# The guy steps out and gets dressed. He storms out the flat, Danny slams backwards on the bed and sighs. The phone rings #

Danny: Hello?

Serena: Danny! Hi, hope it’s not too late. I forget the time difference

Danny: No, it’s fine. I was awake anyway. What’s up?

Serena: I was just checking in to see how you are, what you’ve been up to

Girl’s Voice: Come on! There’s a queue here.

Danny: Who was that?

Serena: Oh, I’m in Starbucks, I best go

Danny: Are you ok? You sound weird...

Serena: No, i’m fine. Any luck finding Alexis?

Danny: No

Serena: Ok, love you, bye

Danny: Love you too

# Danny hangs up. We cut to a worried looking Serena. She turns around and we realise she’s in a prison #

Police Guard: Come on, you get one phone call. You’ve had it

Serena: I want my lawyer!

# A psychiatrists’ office. Danny is on the couch #

Psychiatrist: So, have you made any progress?

Danny: Forming attachments? No. Infact, I slept with a perfectly nice guy last night and ordered him out of my room

Psychiatrist: And how did that feel?

Danny: How do you think? I was frustrated. I am sick of being this freak

Psychiatrist: We’ve discussed this, you’re not a freak. You’ve been through a lot in your life. You’ve lost everyone you loved. You’ve been beaten, bruised and shot

Danny: Can we not talk about the shooting?

Psychiatrist: Why?

Danny: Because I don’t want to drag all that up, I have a scar, the scar is more than enough

Psychiatrist: Scars are more than psychical Danny

Danny: Look, Sarah has been put away for what she did. My biggest problem here is that fact that I’m paying good money for you not to do anything. I need you to fix me. What kind of person can’t love?

Psychiatrist: You’re more than capable of loving, Danny

Danny: I used to be and now, nobody can get close

Psychiatrist: Those visions you had when you were shot. Even though everyone said they were disappointed you were still loved. Don’t you see? Those visions weren’t real, Danny, it was a manifestation of your true feelings that even though you’ve lost people and gone down the wrong path people can still love you. It was your sub conscious trying to tell you not to give up.

Danny: I gave up when Nate died

Psychiatrist: For a guy who was the love of your life, you don’t really talk about him much

Danny: Nothing to tell

Psychiatrist: You told me you got together under unfortunate circumstances, what did you mean?

Danny: Why do you rake everything up all the time?

Psychiatrist: It’s my job. Take me back to when you and him fell in love

# Flashback. High school. We see Stacy, Alexis, Nate, Danny and Michaela all sat around one table, Nate and Stacy kiss. Danny looks at them, jealously #

Alexis: So, what’s happening tonight?

Michaela: We’ve got loads of studying to do

Stacy: Oh please, who needs revision when you could do something a lot more fun

# Stacy runs her hand up Nate’s leg, he laughs #

Danny: You think pretending he can satisfy you is a good night?

# Everyone laughs, Danny laughs and stares at Nate who stares back #

Nate: Least I can get laid my friend

Alexis: Come on, we best get going

# Stacy kisses Nate #

Stacy: Enjoy free period losers

# The bell rings and everyone clears the common room. Danny and Nate are left alone #

Nate: Dude, are we the only ones left with free period?

Danny: No, it’s just people would rather study in the library

Nate: Ah right, fancy a walk?

Danny: Yeah sure

# Danny and Nate get up. Cut to the Village #

Nate: So I ran to hear what all the commotion was, and Rick had tried shaving and cut all his face!

# Danny and Nate laugh #

Danny: Poor kid

Nate: Yeah, he’s cool though

Danny: It’s weird, I’ve known you for so long and I barely know anything about you

Nate: You’re not going all touchy-feely are you?

Danny: Please, that’s so...

Nate: Gay?

Danny: Ha, yeah

# There is an awkward silence #

Nate: Mind if we nip back to mine, I had PE before and the BO is overwhelming me

Danny: Nah it’s fine, why didn’t you use the showers at School?

Nate: Showering with a bunch of guys, not my thing

Danny: Ah, gotcha

# They enter Nate’s house #

Nate: Hello? Mum? Dad? Hmm, looks like we’re on our own, come on

# They go upstairs and into Nate’s bedroom #

Nate: I won’t be long

# Nate goes into his bathroom. Danny leans forward and notices Nate getting undressed, he leans back as the shower is turned on #

Danny: So, you and Stacy are serious now huh?

Nate: Yeah, I guess

Danny: You don’t sound too sure

Nate: Ah, you know what’s its like, they always want it more serious

Danny: Yeah, I wouldn’t really

Nate: I thought you and Alexis had something going on?

Danny: Nah, I don’t think there is anything there to be honest. I love her as a friend but... she’s not my type

# The shower is turned off #

Danny: That was quick

Nate: Only girls take ages in the shower

# Nate steps out in just a towel, his skin is glistening wet. Danny stares, mouth agape #

Nate: You want a picture?

Danny: Huh, oh, sorry... world of my own

# Nate walks towards his wardrobe but trips, falling on Danny #

Nate: Sorry

Danny: That's OK

Nate: I tripped

Danny: I know

# They stare at each other, silently #

Nate: I’ve never noticed your eyes before

# Nate leans in closer #

Danny: They’ve always been there...

Nate: Funny

Danny: Are you OK?

Nate: I will be

# Nate leans in and kisses Danny. Nate pulls back #

Nate: Oh man, I don’t...

Danny: Shut up

# Danny pulls Nate back in and they kiss passionately, Danny rolls him over. Later, Danny and Nate lie silently in each other’s arms. Nate’s phone rings, he gets it from his trousers #

Nate: Hello? Uh, Stacy, hey, I’m at my place. NO, don’t come round... you don’t need to, i’m just heading back.
Danny? Nope, not seen him. He missed Geography? Maybe he’s ill? Ok, love you too, bye

Danny: Wow... so... you’re going?

Nate: Yep, and so are you

Danny: What?!

Nate: You’re going to forget this ever happened

Danny: How, I...

Nate: Just get over it

Danny: Nate...

Nate: And if you tell anyone I swear to god I’ll kill you

Danny: Nate!

Nate: You can go now

Danny: Christ, you jerk!

# Danny grabs his clothes and storms out #

Part 2


[Back in the Psychiatrists’ office]

Psychiatrist: So Nate rejected you?

Danny: Or so I thought

Psychiatrist: That must’ve been difficult for you

Danny: I was confused. I didn’t know what to think. I was having all these feelings that I’d never had. I had never fancied a boy before but when I looked into his eyes it was like something inside me flipped. Like a switch. He was beautiful. So beautiful.

Psychiatrist: So what happened after he left?

Danny: He didn’t speak to me for days and was all over Stacey but one day something happened and that’s when I knew we’d be together

[Flashback. Back of the School. We see Nate’s brother Rick walking down the pathway. Two boys step out]

Boy #1: So, your brother thinks he’s hard eh?

Rick: What?

Boy #1: Your brother, walking around like he’s top dog

Rick: He doesn’t act like anything... who are you?

Boy #2: We’re your worst nightmare

[The boys close in on Rick and with a sickening thud one of them punches Rick in the face]

Boy #1: Woah, leave it out

[The other boy kicks Rick in the ribs over and over. Nate comes around the corner with Stacy and Danny]

Stacy: Oh my god!

Nate: OI!

[Nate races after the boys as Danny and Stacy run over to Rick]

Danny: Rick, are you OK? Rick? Can you hear me?

Stacy: Is he dead?!

Danny: Does he look dead to you?

[Danny rolls his eyes and takes off his jacket, rolls it up and places it under Rick’s head]

Danny: You’re best not moving, not until you’re checked out. Stacy go get help

[Stacy runs off to get help. There is a loud scream]

Danny: NATE! Rick, i’ll be right back

[Danny runs further to the back of the field. The two boys are throwing rocks at Nate as he lashes out. Danny runs and tackles one of the boys, punching him hard]

Danny: Are you OK?

Nate: I will be

[Danny lets go of the boy and he runs off. Nate continually punches him. Danny jumps on the back of Nate to restrain him]

Danny: Nate! STOP! STOP IT, PLEASE! YOU’LL KILL HIM

[Nate steps back, shocked. The boy lies battered and bloodied on the floor]

Danny: Oh my god

Nate: He’s not moving

Danny: Calm down

[Danny goes over to the boy]

Danny: You go help Rick, Nate, I’ll stay here

[Danny checks the pulse of the boy on the floor. A teacher comes running over]

Teacher: Oh my god, what happened?

Danny: I was chasing him because he beat up Rick and he tripped over

Teacher: He did this by falling?!

Danny: Yeah, he tripped over these rocks

[The teacher looks at the rocks. Danny looks at her, worried. Present day]

Psychiatrist: So you covered for him?

Danny: The boy deserved it

Psychiatrist: Nate was a lot older

Danny: I thought you weren’t here to judge

Psychiatrist: Sorry, so then what happened?

[Flashback. Outside Nate’s house. Danny knocks and Nate answers]

Nate: Oh, hey

[Nate signals for Danny to come in]

Danny: Where are your mum and dad?

Nate: Rick’s still in the hospital. He’s got bruised ribs but he’s OK

Danny: What about that boy?

Nate: He’s broken his nose but he’s sticking to the story

Danny: Good, he’s probably terrified of you finishing off the job

Nate: Excuse me?

Danny: I mean, what are you? Some sort of thug?! That was disgusting

Nate: They beat up my brother

Danny: Yes! I know, but you nearly killed him. What the hell got into you?

Nate: Oh get lose will you?

Danny: Why, you going to beat me up to are you?

[Nate stands up]

Danny: Come on, big shot, hit me

Nate: SHUT UP

Danny: Think you’re a big man do you?

[Nate grunts loudly and gets right in Danny’s face]

Danny: You’re pathetic

[Danny goes to walk away but Nate grabs his arm tightly and pulls him towards him and they kiss]

Nate: It’s you

Danny: Me?

Nate: I’m so confused

Danny: So am I but I don’t go beating people up

Nate: I don’t know what to do

Danny: I don’t know what there is to do

Nate: I need you, Danny

Danny: And what about Stacy

Nate: What about Stacy?!

Danny: She thinks you love her

Nate: I do

Danny: You just kissed me, Nate

Nate: I don’t know, Danny...

[Nate sits back down, he puts his head in his hands and begins to cry]

Nate: One minute I am this normal straight lad who has a fit girlfriend and knows what he wants but then you, you come along and mix me up and I don’t know what to do, Danny. I don’t even know who I am. Am I gay? I can’t be gay.. it’s... it’s not normal. And my Dad would kill me... I’d lose everything

Danny: Hey, calm down

[Danny puts his arm around Nate]

Nate: And yet i’d be willing to lose everything if I meant I could be with you

[They kiss again and begin to undress. Present day]

Psychiatrist: So he declared his love, you declared it back, then what?

Danny: We had an affair for a few months, I guess. It got kind of fun, kind of addictive. We’d meet up in School in secret. Little touches when nobody was looking, it became a game but every day we fell deeper in love

Psychiatrist: And when did it stop?

Danny: The school year was drawing to a close and Nate said he had the perfect plan

[Flashback, Danny’s room]

Danny: Are you kidding me?!

Nate: It’s perfect, Danny

Danny: How are we going to afford to run away Nate?

Nate: We’ll get jobs

Danny: What about college?

Nate: London has colleges

Danny: And our families

Nate: WE’D be each other’s family

Danny: This is insane

Nate: Come with me Danny, we can be together

[Nate goes closer to Danny]

Nate: Forever

[They kiss again, Nate starts to unbutton Danny’s shirt. Downstairs Danny’s Mum goes to the front door with her shopping. Stacy walks behind her]

Stacy: Oh, Hi, I’m here to see Danny... I want to talk to him about Prom

Danny’s Mum: Ah right, he might be in. Go check his room love

Stacy: Do you need help?

Danny’s Mum: Thanks love

[Stacy helps carry in some bags. She places them on the kitchen side]

Stacy: I’ll go see if he’s there

[There is several loud thuds]

Danny’s Mum: He must be rearranging his room again

Stacy: Ah right, sounds like he could use some help

[She ventures upstairs]

Stacy: Danny?

[We hear a door opening and a loud scream. Present day]

Danny: I’ll never forget that day, the look in her eyes. She was heartbroken

Psychiatrist: Wow, must’ve been hard for her

Danny: I never thought about that at the time, she was just in the way of our true love

Psychiatrist: So when she found out...?

Danny: All hell broke loose. She ran downstairs and told my mother and then when straight over to Nate’s. He was devastated. In literally an hour everyone knew.

Psychiatrist: How did Nate react?

Danny: He said we should run away

Psychiatrist: And you never?

Danny: I decided to stay and face up to what we’d done, I wasn’t ashamed

Psychiatrist: But Nate had other ideas

Danny: Yeah

[Flashback, a bus station]

Danny: Nate please

Nate: I can’t live there anymore Danny, seeing everyone every day

Danny: What happened to us being family, Nate

Nate: We can be, come with me

Danny: I can’t abandon everything now

Nate: I won’t stay and be hated, Danny

Danny: I won’t hate you!

Nate: I’m sorry Danny

[A bus pulls up]

Danny: Please Nate, please stay

Nate: I can’t

Danny: Stay for me

Nate: I love you

Danny: I NEED YOU, DON’T GO

[Danny breaks down as the bus drives away. Present day]

Psychiatrist: You told me he abandoned you after it all came out?

Danny: I lied, to everyone... I was ashamed that he left me I always said he left secretly but the truth is I wish I’d have gone with him. We’d probably still be together

Psychiatrist: You stayed and faced it like a man Danny, you should be proud

Danny: I lost everything, which is why I have to do what I’m doing

Psychiatrist: You’re looking for answers where they don’t exist

Danny: I HAVE TO FIND ALEXIS, SHE IS STILL ALIVE!

Psychiatrist: She isn’t Danny

Danny: I’ll prove it, just you watch

[Danny storms out the room. Suddenly his phone rings]

Voice: You were right. She’s alive and well. I have proof. Meet me at our usual place

If it read like a proper story I would be more interested in it but everyone else seems to really like it so it doesn't really matter lol. I think you could make it much more detailed as well if it wasn't in script format. :)

Serena: This is ridiculous, I don’t even smoke pot!

Cellmate: That’s what they all say

Serena: Could you be quiet? I have enough going on without some crazy junkie shooting her mouth off

Cellmate: Who you callin’ crazy

Serena: IS THIS A CELL OR A TRAILER?! GET ME OUT OF HERE, NOW!

[She rattles the bars angrily]

Cellmate: And I’m the crazy one

[Serena glares at her]

Cellmate: I’m just sayin’

[She kicks the bars once more and then throws herself on the seat angrily. Cut to a grey and drab room. Serena is with her lawyer]

Serena: I didn’t have anything on me

Lawyer: If you plead guilty, you’ll get away with a fine

Serena: And then it’ll be all over the press, my father will go crazy

Lawyer: Your father wants this dealt with

Serena: Like everything else

Lawyer: He’s only ever wanted to help you

Serena: Oh so that’s why he got you to declare me temporarily insane so he could force my baby into adoption

Lawyer: Well, he does what he needs to do

Serena: As long as you’re getting the money

Lawyer: Young lady, you are 19 years old. You make think you’re old enough to deal with this but you’re not. You could get 2 years if they try and pin it on you that you’re a dealer too

Serena: There is no evidence for that

Lawyer: They’ll find it. Come on. New York socialite turns drug dealer it’ll be perfect for them

Serena: Fine, i’ll plead guilty

Lawyer: Good

Serena: On one condition

Lawyer: And what would that be?

Serena: You find out who that witness is

Lawyer: But that’s illegal

Serena: Don’t pretend that matters, I’m not an idiot

Lawyer: Very well, i’ll make a call

[An officer comes in]

Serena: I need to make a phone call

Officer: You’ve already made one this week

Lawyer: Officer, let her make the call or i’ll sue this department for detaining this lady under prison rules when she hasn’t even been to trial

Officer: One call

Lawyer: Thank you

[Serena is guided away to a phone, she dials a number. We see Danny who answers his phone]

Serena: Hi

Danny: Hey, I haven’t seen you in days, where have you been?

Serena: You don’t want to know

Danny: I’ve been worried

Serena: I’ve been in jail

Danny: JAIL?!

Serena: Someone framed me with a bag of pot

Danny: Who would do that?

Serena: I don’t know, either way I’m getting out of here soon and I will find out who did this to me

Danny: Probably someone with a vendetta against your Dad

Serena: How are things with you?

Danny: Good actually, I got a call, Alexis is alive

Serena: WHAT?!

Danny: And she’s here in America

Serena: See, I bet you’re glad you stayed

Danny: Yeah, I am

Serena: So you’re going to meet her?

Danny: The private investigator is meeting me at some deserted warehouse, he likes his dramatic places

Serena: Good luck, Danny

Danny: You too

[Serena hangs up. Danny is in the flat. He takes a photograph out of a drawer. It’s him and Alexis. He smiles and exits his flat. We cut to the back of a deserted warehouse. It’s a huge open field with no grass. A dust bowl with nothing around. Danny is stood waiting when two cars pull up with blacked out windows. His private investigator steps out]

Danny: Is she in that car

Private Investigator: No, Danny, I'm sorry

Danny: What?

[The other car’s engine begins grind]

Private Investigator: RUN, DANNY!

[A gunshot is heard and the car speeds after Danny who runs like hell. The car tails him around and sways side to side as Danny runs to the investigator’s car. He starts the engine but it won’t turn. The car hurdles towards him but he speeds off before it can hit him]

Danny: What the hell

[The two cards spin, there is dust blowing everywhere and Danny spins out of control. With a crunch the other car rams into Danny and his car flips over onto its roof. Cut to a bloodied Danny on the floor. There are two feet in front of him. He looks up at a gun. He looks up further]

Ed: Hello, Danny boy

Danny: Ed?

Ed: That’s right, now get up

[Ed grabs Danny and throws him into his car. It’s huge inside like a Limo with seats opposite each other. Ed glares at Danny]

Danny: What the hell?

Ed: Did you really think I’d let you get away with what you’ve done?

Danny: What I’ve done?

Ed: You’ve taken EVERYTHING away from me

Danny: Like what, Ed?

Ed: My sister, Serena...

Danny: Serena wasn’t yours and your sister is a PSYCHO

Ed: SHE WAS FINE UNTIL SHE MET YOU. I WAS FINE BEFORE I MET YOU. AND GUESS WHAT, ME AND SERENA WERE FINE

Danny: Well clearly not if she was willing to jump into the arms of a gay guy

[Ed slaps him]

Ed: You came along and ruined everything

Danny: I ruined nothing, you just hated the fact that you weren’t what she wanted

Ed: My sister took the blame for shooting you when she never

Danny: That has nothing to do with me

Ed: She LOVED you, Danny, she loved you and you threw it in her face. You ignored her, treated her like a fool

Danny: I didn’t even know

Ed: She cried over you, I watched her cry

Danny: SHE’S CRAZY

[Ed waves his gun angrily]

Ed: STOP SAYING THAT

Danny: THIS is crazy Ed. The secret meet up, the gun, the limo... I mean come on this isn’t some soap opera!

Ed: This is me giving you what you really deserve

Danny: What I deserve? What I deserve is a quiet life without crazy people surrounding me. I mean, god, am I some sort of magnet and what is with the guns?! How is everyone just able to get them

Ed: I get what I want

Danny: Now see, that’s the real problem isn’t it? You rich kids are all the same. You hate not getting your own way. Serena didn’t want you and your sister couldn’t even talk to you!

Ed: She talked plenty

Danny: Then why didn’t you help her? Is that really why we’re here? You’re not mad at me, you’re mad at yourself for failing her

[Ed whips Danny with the gun and throws him out the car. He steps out as Danny gets to his feet]

Danny: You failed your sister when she needed you. You failed Serena too

Ed: I failed nobody

Danny: Poor little Ed, never there and always dumped

Ed: SHUT UP

Danny: Nobody loves you, Ed. Are you even human? I look into your eyes and they’re dead

Ed: I could have loved her

Danny: You aren’t capable of love

[Ed drives the gun into Danny’s head]

Danny: Go on, shoot me. It’s about time one of you lot went through with it

Ed: I will

Danny: Then do it. But it won’t release the pain. I’m not the problem here,
Ed, YOU ARE. It’s YOU. So go on, shoot me if it makes you feel better

Danny [Narrating]: Limbo. That perpetual indecision between life and death and heaven and hell. Where do you go? What do you do? Pray for guidance? I’ve lived my entire life in limbo, not knowing who to choose or what to choose. A lot has happened to me, I’ve lost and all the time I’ve never wanted to continue. I’ve always felt I was better off dead. Yet somehow, I began to feel a glimmer of hope in my life. A light had come back on. I want to live!

[Danny is on the floor, his eyes opened sharp and he gasps for air and clutches at his stomach. Ed hovers over him shaking]

Danny: Please...

Ed: I warned you, I said I’d do it

Danny: Not like this, please not like this

Ed: It’s about time you got what you deserved

Danny: Please

[Danny sobs and outstretches his bloody hand. His blood surrounds him]

[Ed gets in a car and speeds off leaving Danny]

[Jail, Serena is sat with her Lawyer]

Serena: Did you find out

Lawyer: Yes, I did

Lawyer: I got this information on a matter of trust, do NOT tell anyone how you found out

Lawyer: It was that boy you were with

Serena: Danny?!

[Serena starts banging on the desk; an officer comes in and drags her away]

[A cell, Serena is thrown in]

[A prison. We see Sarah sat in a room, Ed enters and hands some money to the officer who steps outside]

Sarah: Ed, they said it was urgent, is everything OK?

Ed: No

Sarah: What happened?!

Ed: I killed him

Sarah: Who?

Ed: I killed Danny...

Sarah: No..

Ed: I had to get him back

Sarah: For what?

Ed: HE’S TAKEN EVERYTHING FROM ME. YOU, SERENA...

[A tear runs down Ed’s cheek]

[Ed storms out]

[Cut to Danny who is slowly losing consciousness. Cut to Sarah talking to an officer]

Sarah: He admitted it to me... he killed him

[Cut to the jail, Serena is with her Lawyer]

Lawyer: I’ve managed to talk to the judge; he’s willing to allow you to post bail

Serena: Good

Lawyer: But your father said he won’t pay it

Serena: What?!

Lawyer: He said you need to learn the consequences of your outbursts and that he cut you off once, he'll do it again

Serena: I need to be out of here, tell Daddy that if he doesn’t let me out
there will be hell to pay

Lawyer: I’ll be sure to pass that on, I’ll see you tomorrow

Serena: Get them to let me make a call

Lawyer: Oh fine, not that it’ll do any good

[Cut to the telephone]

Serena: Mom... it’s me

[Ed is in his car, he is driving fast when a police car comes up behind him. Ed panics and speeds onwards, a car chase ensues]

Officer on Megaphone: This is the Police, pull over!

[Ed looks in his rear view mirror and speeds some more]

Ed: You’re not taking me

[Ed speeds around corners and heads near a bridge, he speeds to a crossing as a woman steps out, he swerves out of the way and plummets over the edge into a quarry. There is a sickening crunch]

[The jail, Serena is at the front desk with her Mum, Barbara]

Barbara: Your father will kill me

Serena: It’s all for a good cause

Barbara: It better be

Serena: Thank you so much, I know i’ve been distant

Barbara: We certainly need to talk

Serena: I love you

[Serena hugs her Mum and runs outside to a cab. Cut to Danny’s flat and Serena runs inside and looks around. She sees his mobile phone and plays a voice message]

Serena: Deserted warehouse... come on...

Private Investigator [On Phone]: Meet me at the usual place? The old airplane development factory.. you know where

Serena: Oh my god

[Serena runs out of the flat. Cut to the prison and Sarah is in her cell]

Officer: Sarah, I am afraid I have bad news. Your brother was in a bad car accident. He’s been rushed to the hospital, it’s critical

Sarah: Oh my god

Officer: The prison warden has given you permission to be escorted to the hospital

Sarah: Oh thank you, let’s go

[They cuff Sarah. Cut to the back of the warehouse. Serena runs towards a body. It’s the private investigator]

Serena: Oh my god... oh my...

[She sees smoke coming from further away and runs over, she sees the car smoking and fans it out of the way. She screams as she sees Danny]

Serena: Oh my god, Danny! Oh my god, please don’t die

[She scoops him up in her arms]

Serena: Don’t leave me, please don’t leave me

[She takes her phone out of her pocket and dials 911]

Serena: I need an ambulance, he doesn’t have a pulse...

[Her tears echo as there are several different shots. They show doctors working on Ed. A flash cuts to Danny being wheeled in, surrounded by doctors and a terrified Serena. The next shot shows Sarah arriving. Serena walks over to her]

Serena: What are you doing here?!

Sarah: Ed’s been in an accident

Serena: He shot Danny!

Sarah: Is he OK?

Serena: HE GOT SHOT, SARAH

Sarah: It’s not like it hasn’t happened before... he’ll pull through

Serena: No, no he won’t because your brother left him lying in his own blood. He’s BLUE. He felt so cold... because your brother and your family are PSYCHO

[Serena lunges at Sarah but the officers pull her back. The next shots are doctors working on someone. The monitor flatlines. They try to revive but with no luck. A doctor throws off her gloves and walks out to Serena and Sarah]

Doctor: I’m so sorry, we did everything we can but the injuries were too extensive... He’s dead

[A nurse opens the door]

[Serena rushes in as Sarah breaks down in the background. Danny is on a monitor, there is a Doctor next to him]

Doctor: You must be the next of kin

Serena: Yes, I am. How is he?

Doctor: We think he’ll pull through and recover from these injuries. The bullet was so close to him it didn’t travel and instead got caught in tissue, he’s very lucky

Serena: Yeah, he is

Doctor: I am afraid I have bad news, however

Serena: What?

Doctor: Why don’t you come to my office, I’ll explain there

[They walk out, shots of the hospital corridors show]

Serena [Voice Over]: It’s funny, those little moments in life can change so much. The ‘I’m sorry’s that make everything OK again, the ‘I’m pregnant’s that make a couple into a family. Those little moments that captivate us, motivate us, change us. Some of us have bigger moments and my life hasn’t been easy but compared to Danny...

[Danny’s heart monitor bleeps]

Serena [Voice Over]: He’s a survivor, a true survivor. He’ll fight anything. He’s lost everything and everyone he ever truly loved. He’s been stabbed, shot, battered and left for dead. Everyone at some point as betrayed him and yet he gets this thirst for life. This need to rejuvenate himself. I envy him, I really do. I’m a quitter, always have been... but Danny is something else.

[Doctor’s office, a tear runs down Serena’s cheek as the doctor consoles her. She runs out and as the door pushes open, we see Serena push open a bar door and she’s drunk]

Serena: Who’s going to buy me a drink?!

[She stumbles over to the bar as a lad walks over]

Serena: You’ll buy me a drink, won’t you?

[She falls on him]

Lad: Maybe you should go home?

Serena: You’re not my Daddy!

[She stumbles]

Serena: My Daddy wouldn’t care

[A man comes over, he is dressed in a suit]

Man: I’m afraid i’m going to have to ask you to leave

Serena: Do you know who I am?!

[Serena vomits in her mouth]

Man: You’re clearly extremely intoxicated; let me call you a cab?

[Serena pushes the man but falls backwards and lands hard on the floor. She holds her head]

[People look and laugh as they walk past]

[She climbs back to her feet and limps off past a homeless man. She walks drunkenly into the park where she shot Danny and drops to the ground]

[She strokes the ground some more and begins to cry and the rain soaks her. She lies down on the pavement]

[Daylight, Serena is asleep in her bed. She opens her eyes and sees her mother at the foot of the bed. She has stitches above her eye]

Barbara: You’re at home

Serena: How did I..?

Barbara: Had another one of your funny turns, I got a call from a family friend. I didn’t know what to say

Serena: I’m sorry

Barbara: You were doing so well

Serena: Something happened

Barbara: Something always happens with you, Serena. Your father can blame Danny all he likes, it’s always been you

Serena: I could really do without the resentment, Ma

Barbara: I don’t care. I am still your mother. You are still a teenager but yet I let you wonder off because I trust you... well, I trusted you

Barbara: Somebody had to step in! It’s becoming farcical now, Serena. How long can you live like this? How long can you go on pressing the self destruct button

Barbara: That’s life! You need to wake up because it is a cruel world out there and it is getting crueller. There are people everywhere suffering, not knowing where their next meal is coming from...

Serena: I don’t need the ‘you’re so privileged’ talk

Barbara: Serena, don’t you see? It isn’t about making you value money it is about making you value life. Look at what is happening to you, all around you, open your eyes

Serena: I don’t think I can handle this

Barbara: You don’t know what you can handle until you try

[Serena laughs and goes into the bathroom. Cut the hospital. She walks through the corridor. Slow motion. She takes a deep breath in and enters Danny’s room. He is sat up]

Danny: I take it this upgrade is courtesy of you

Serena: My mother actually

Danny: Your mother paying to help me? Cold day in hell...

[Serena laughs]

Serena: I’m glad you’re feeling better

Danny: Yeah, I feel so alive

Serena: Good... it’s good you’ve got some fight in you

Danny: What’s wrong?

Serena: Nothing, why?

Danny: You look really uncomfortable. Don’t tell me, you ripped your Gucci bag?

[Danny wheezes as he laughs]

Serena: Danny...

[Serena pulls up a chair]

Danny: You’re scaring me now

Serena: I spoke to your doctor and we agreed it’d be best coming from me

Danny: What?

Serena: When they were working on you they found a mole on your shoulder

Danny: Yeah, it was a freckle

Serena: Well, the Doctor decided it’d be a good idea to get it checked so he took a biopsy of it

Danny: A biopsy? You mean?

[Serena fights back tears]

Serena: I’m so sorry Danny

Danny: I...

Serena: They’re going to make you fight, chemo... all the best drugs

Danny: This isn’t happening... no, I feel alive again

Serena: I’m so sorry

Danny: How bad is it?

Serena: I’m so...

Danny: Tell me

Serena: It’s stage 4

Danny: Stage 4? Is that bad? How bad?

[Serena breaks down crying]

Danny: Oh my god, I’m going to Die

[Sunshine outside, Danny and Serena are waiting for a cab]

Serena: How are you feeling?

Doctor: So i’m fully aware of the situation and both myself and social services are happy that the baby will be well looked after by Serena

Doctor: The sperm is healthy as are the eggs. If all goes to plan, and I don’t see why not, then you’ll have a healthy baby

Serena: Danny we’ve been over this. The baby will be loved and you’ll have a legacy, when...

Danny: I die? You can say it

Serena: Just doesn’t sound right

[The Doctor smiles]

Danny: I know but we don’t have much time, Doctor and this is our best shot. Plus we find out quicker

Doctor: OK then, if you’d like to follow me

Danny: Do you mind if I come in with you?

Serena: Yeah, as long as you stay by my head

[Serena laughs]

Danny: I’ll try and resist the temptation (!)

Doctor: Follow me

[Serena and Danny follow the Doctor. The door closes and we cut to the apartment]

Danny: So, how did it feel?

Serena: It was a lot more satisfying than you ever were

[Danny kisses on the cheek Serena. As they pull back the shot changes to Danny in the hospital room hooked up to a machine. A nurse comes over]

Nurse: I don’t know if this has been discussed with you but, the effects of the chemo...

Danny: Weight loss, fatigue, sickness and...

Nurse: Hairloss

Danny: So far so good

[He laughs nervously]

Nurse: You might want to get there before the chemo does

Danny: I’m not shaving my head

Nurse: We would recommend it

[Danny’s face turns to anger. The nurse looks sympathetic and walks away. Danny punches his chair in frustration. Cut to Danny and Serena’s flat. Danny is laying on the bed and Serena is holding his hand next to him]

Serena: You feeling OK?

Danny: Yeah, now that i’ve stopped throwing up

Serena: Just think of the weight you’ll lose

Danny: Are you calling me fat?

Serena: Just sayin’... you may have gained a few

Danny: I did get shot

Serena: Biscuits don’t cure bullets

Danny: I hate you

[They giggle]

Danny: How are you feeling? Pregnant?

Serena: I really don’t know, I take the test tomorrow

[He laughs. Serena kisses him on the forehead]

[Serena turns around and smiles. Morning and a pale looking Danny is stood outside the bathroom]

Danny: A bit of pee on a stick, is it too much to ask?

Serena: If you don’t shut up, I’ll strangle you, cancer or no cancer

Danny: Grouchy already?

Serena: Just shush

[Danny pauses. We hear Serena pee]

[Serena laughs. The door opens]

Danny: Now what?

Serena: Now we wait

Serena: Two minutes

Danny: How long has it been?

[Serena takes a biscuit from the kitchen side and shoves it into his mouth. They pause]

[Serena walks into the bathroom and picks up the test]

Serena: We’re pregnant!

[Serena runs into Danny’s arms, tears run down their face]

[The shot changes once more to Danny on the machine, the same nurse comes over]

Nurse: I see you still have your hair

Nurse: I’m just making you aware

Danny: Maybe my hair won’t fall out

Nurse: Fine, but take this just in case

[The nurse hands him a shaver]

[Evening time, Danny steps out the shower. He is talking to Serena]

Danny: And then she handing me some dumb razor

[Danny takes a hairbrush and begins to brush his hair. Clumps fall around him]

[Serena enters, Danny turns to her in tears]

[James Blunt’s ‘Carry You Home’ begins to play. We see Serena shaving Danny’s head and he cries. She wipes away her own tears. She finishes and he drops to the floor sobbing. She lays down next to him on the floor, surrounded by hair]

Danny [Voice Over]: Time, we never really embrace it yet eventually we all learn one important thing. We just don’t have enough.

[Danny rubs her stomach, the scene cuts to Serena doing the same in hospital as a nurse hooks her up to a drip. The drip changes to chemotherapy drugs and Danny looks really ill and a Doctor is sat with him]

Doctor: Your last scan showed more mets, the cancer is raging through you

Danny: I’m getting weaker

Doctor: I know, it’s going to be tougher

Danny: How long have I got?

Doctor: To be blunt, a month if you're lucky

Danny: If I stop the chemo?

Doctor: Weeks... you’ll deteriorate quickly...

Danny: I won’t see the birth?

Doctor: No, it’s doubtful you will see your child born

[A tear falls down Danny’s cheek]

Doctor: There is no surgical option, we’ve explored all avenues, I am really sorry Danny

[The doctor pats him on the arm and leaves. Meanwhile Serena is in her bed, suddenly Lionel enters]

[Lionel kisses her. As he leans back the scene cuts to a prison. A dishevelled Sarah sits in front of a lawyer]

Lawyer: Yes, your brother confesses everything

Sarah: I’ll get out of here?

Lawyer: I’ll present the case to the judge. He’ll charge you for obstruction to justice but with the time you’ve spent already you’ll be let free

Lawyer: Next week

Sarah: I’ll be free?

[Sarah grins evilly as the Lawyer gets up the leave. Sarah continues to stare into the distance, her eyes wild]

[Serena enters her room, we see clothes being thrown on the floor, she steps out the room and she is in her wedding dress. She looks stunning and grins happily. The dress trails along the floor. Serena gasps as she twirls, a tear in her eye. There’s a knock on the door. Serena opens it]

Serena: Hi..

[There is a thud as Serena lands on the floor. A foot is seen stepping over her. It is Sarah. With a knife in hand she drags Serena into the living room. She slams the door and locks it]

Sarah: I’ve been waiting for this for a long time

[Serena comes to and glares at Sarah, worried]

Sarah: You’ve had it easy for too long

Serena: Why are you here?

[Sarah advances on Serena, who tries to scuffle away. Cut to the church]

Vicar: We’ll be ready to start in 30 minutes

Lionel: How you feeling?

Danny: Nervous, strangely

Lionel: Not getting cold feet

Danny: I don’t have cold anything

Lionel: It is warm in here, can we get a fan please?

Vicar: I’ll see what I can do

[Vicar exits]

Lionel: We can postpone it, you know

Danny: No! I am fine

Lionel: No point risking your health

Danny: What health?

Lionel: You’re still here

Danny: Not for long, I want this over and done with... I mean that nicely

Lionel: I understand, I’ll go call Barbara

[Lionel exits, Barbara is in the main church hall]

Lionel: Why aren’t you with Serena?

Barbara: She said she wanted to make her own way

Lionel: On her wedding day?

Barbara: Our daughter is hardly conventional, Lionel

Lionel: True, I can’t believe this is happening

Barbara: It makes her happy

Lionel: That’s all I ask

Barbara: Shall I let the guests in?

Lionel: Yes, I’ll tell Daniel she’s on her way

[Lionel goes back into the church hall, Danny stumbles]

Lionel: Woah, are you OK?

Danny: Yeah, I got a bit of Déjàvu there for a second

Lionel: Of what?

Danny: Long story

Lionel: Aren’t they all! The guest will be here soon, start in 10 minutes

[Lionel exits and Danny sits down, breathing heavy. Cut to the flat. Sarah has Serena in a grip against the wall]

Serena: LET ME GO

Sarah: NO

Serena: GET OFF ME!

[Serena kicks Sarah and runs but Sarah catches her once more and Serena cries]

Serena: Please!

Sarah: How do you like feeling helpless?

Serena: I’m sorry for everything that happened to you but please... LET ME GO

Sarah: NO!

[Sarah lashes out, her fist strikes Serena who stumbles against the wall and the scene cuts to the church once more. Danny is at the alter]

Lionel: Danny?

Danny: Hmm?

Lionel: Are you OK?

[Danny stumbles once more, cut to the flat]

Serena: PLEASE, LET ME GO, YOU’RE BETTER THAN THIS

Sarah: I’LL STEAL FROM YOU WHAT YOU STOLE FROM ME

Serena: YOU DON’T DESERVE DANNY

[Sarah drives the knife into Serena’s stomach. Serena’s eyes latch onto Sarah’s. Cut to church]

Lionel: Danny?

[Danny falls forward, collapsing on the floor. His eyes roll to the back of his head. Serena’s body replaces him in the flat, blood surrounds her]

Sarah: I warned you!

[Sarah runs away as we cut to the church and Danny is surrounded by people]

Lionel: Call an ambulance!

[Danny and Serena’s bodies are visable]

As promised, the grand finale.. the last ever... Teenage Lives.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank EVERYONE who has followed Teenage Lives since I began writing it. It's had its critics but it is all you guys who gave me the hits, the feedback, that made it worthwhile. Enjoy.


[There is pandemonium in the Church]

Barbara: Lionel! Is he OK?

Lionel: No, where is Serena? Go see if the car is here. SOMEONE CALL AN AMBULANCE

[Everyone panics as Barbara runs outside. She looks but there is no car. She takes out her phone and dials Serena. We cut to Serena on the floor, blood surrounding her as her phone rings]

Barbara: Come on!

[A guest of the wedding runs out]

Guest: Any luck?

Barbara: No, I’m going to the flat, tell Lionel and then get someone to direct the ambulance

Guest: OK

[Barbara steps into a car and you can see her talking to the driver, he drives way. Inside the church, Lionel is trying to give Danny mouth to mouth]

Lionel: COME ON DANNY, don’t die on me! Serena needs you

[He begins compressions]

Lionel: 1, 2, 3 DO WE HAVE ANY DOCTORS HERE? 1, 2, 3

[He gives him mouth to mouth]

Lionel: I don’t care about your DNR, my daughter needs you alive!

[Danny lies unresponsive as we cut to Barbara at the flat. She knocks on the door, it is ajar]

Barbara: Serena?

[Barbara nudges open the door and sees Serena on the floor]

Barbara: SERENA! OH MY GOD, SERENA, my baby...

[She runs over, blood gets on her legs and hands as she cradles a limp Serena in her arms. Barbara is hysterical]

Barbara: No, no...

[She picks up her phone and dials 911]

Barbara: Help me, please, my daughter... she’s bleeding... she’s not breathing

[We cut to another flat, Sarah’s and Sarah is crying]

Sarah: I’m sorry... I’m sorry... I’m sorry

[She’s shaking as she walks over to the window. She looks down at the steep drop. She goes and grabs a chair. Standing on it, she uses the window frame to climb to the edge and she jumps. We hear a thud and the sound of a car alarm and screaming. The screaming continues at Serena and Danny’s flat where an ambulance crew turn up]

Ambulance man: Excuse me ma’am

[Barbara lets go of Serena and the Ambulance guy sees to her]

Ambulance man: Pulse is weak and thread

[The other ambulance guy looks at him. Barbara lunges forward]

Barbara: NO! YOU WILL NOT DO THIS. YOU WILL NOT GIVE UP. THIS IS MY DAUGHTER... I WILL NOT HAVE HER TAKEN AWAY FROM ME, DO YOU UNDERSTAND?

Ambulance man: Ma’am...

Barbara: NO! NOW YOU TAKE HER TO HOSPITAL AND YOU SAVE HER... PLEASE... SAVE HER

[The ambulance men nod at each other and lift Serena onto a stretcher. Her gorgeous dress is smeared with blood and flows off the side of the stretcher. An ambulance team arrive at the church]

Ambulance lady: OK what’s his name?

Lionel: Danny

Ambulance lady: OK, Danny... can you hear me?

[The ambulance lady shakes Danny to no response, she takes his pulse]

Ambulance lady: We have a pulse

[Lionel sighs with relief as the ambulance crew take Danny away. He follows them to the courtyard and gets in the ambulance. Cut to Barbara in Serena’s ambulance where the ambulance man is shocking her]

Ambulance man: Clear!

[He shocks her to no avail]

Barbara: Serena, darling, fight! Fight! I CANNOT LOSE YOU

[Barbara begins sobbing once more as we cut to Lionel’s Ambulance]

Lionel: Daniel, can you hear me? Daniel?

[Danny begins to fit]

Lionel: DO SOMETHING

Ambulance lady [driving]: Hey..

[The ambulance guy she’s with leans over as she whispers into his ear. He turns to Lionel]

Ambulance guy: Sir, we just called the hospital, were you aware that this gentlemen had signed a DNR?

Lionel: He didn’t mean it, he was scared

Ambulance guy: Sir, it’s against the law to go against his wishes

Lionel: LOOK AT HIM! HELP HIM!

[Danny stops fitting and the monitor starts bleeping]

Lionel: FOR GOD’S SAKE HELP HIM

[Lionel walks over and begins compressions on Danny]

Ambulance guy: Sir, it’s illegal

Lionel: I won’t give up!

[Lionel resumes compressions once more and the monitor bleeps again and Danny’s pulse is back up. Compressions on Serena also resume as her monitor bleeps to]

Ambulance guy: WE GOT A PULSE

Barbara: Thank god...

[Both Ambulances turn into the hospital at the same time, there are a team of doctors waiting. The ambulances both pull up and Lionel and Barbara both get out at the same time. They look at each other as Serena and Danny are wheeled out]

Lionel: SERENA, OH MY GOD...

[Lionel runs over as the Ambulance lady pulls her out]

Barbara: They said she’s been stabbed... she has a pulse... but the baby... oh my god, danny?

Lionel: He just collapsed

[Both Serena and Danny are wheeled into the hospital and into trauma rooms next to each other. We cut to Serena’s trauma room]

Doctor: Female, pregnant, stab wound to the lower abdomen

[Another doctor walks in]

Doctor #2: Get me a sonogram machine

[A nurse wheels it over as the other Doctor works frantically]

Doctor: We need to stop the bleed

Doctor #2: I need to check the babies pulse

[Doctor #2 scans Serena’s stomach, she takes time to listen]

Doctor #2: No, nothing. The foetus took the brunt

Doctor: Who would stab an unborn baby?

Doctor #2: It’s sick

[Doctor #2 leaves the room and we cut to Danny’s trauma room]

Doctor: OK, we’ve got the concentrate on getting this pulse up without using special measures. His pulse has strengthened with IV fluids

[A nurse fixes Danny’s IV]

Doctor: Check airway...

[As the Doctor leans in, Danny begins fitting again, his pulse drops. Cut to outside the trauma room]

Lionel: I’m speechless

Barbara: I felt it in my gut, something was strange

Lionel: You can’t blame yourself

Barbara: Then who can I blame? Our daughter is lying...

[Barbara sobs]

Lionel: And Daniel... I am so fond of that boy

Barbara: I know he was ill but that boy had nothing, nobody... yet he seemed happy. Even with cancer

Lionel: They made each other happy

Barbara: God, let them live...

[Inside Danny’s trauma room they managed to stop the fitting]

Doctor: Page the oncologist

Intern: Is this the metastasis?

Doctor: It’s caused a brain haemorrhage. We’ll try him on Prophylactic anticonvulsants but if he seizes again...

[The intern and the doctor look sadly at each other, in Serena’s trauma room they are transfusing blood. A doctor goes outside to speak to Barbara and Lionel]

Doctor: Hi

Barbara: Hi

Doctor: We had a neo-natal surgeon check the health of the baby and sadly, the knife cut right through the uterine wall and the sac and the baby didn’t survive

Lionel: What about Serena?

Doctor: She’s lost a lot of blood and we need to perform a hysterectomy to try and stop the bleeding, however, we cannot move her until she stabalises

Barbara: What are her chances?

Doctor: I’m sorry ma’am, we’re doing our best

[The doctor goes back into the room, as she swings open the door, Serena’s monitor bleeps again. Barbara runs in]

Doctor: Get me the paddles

Barbara: NO

Doctor: Push 10 of Adrenaline

Nurse: Ma’am you shouldn’t be in here...

Doctor: Clear!

[As Serena’s body rises from the shock, we see Danny is fitting again]

Doctor: He’s fitting!

[The doctor tries to stabalise him but suddenly blood shoots from his ear and the heart monitor alarm sounds rapidly]

Doctor: Damn it! Swaps, WHERE IS THE ONOCOLOGIST?!

Nurse: There’s only one on call and he’s in surgery

Doctor: Then get me a neurosurgeon

Intern: Can we not to do burr holes

Doctor: In this instance they’d have opposite effect...

Intern: Then what do we do?

Doctor: Pray...

[Cut to Serena’s trauma room]

Barbara: Please god... please....

[They shock her again]

Doctor: Push 10 more adrenaline

Nurse: Do you want to intubate?

Doctor: No, it’d be too risky

[Serena’s alarm beeps loudly as a nurse ushers Barbara out the room. Lionel is looking inside Danny’s. He turns to Barbara, they both have tears in their eyes. Cut to Serena’s room]

Doctor: CLEAR!

[They shock her again. Cut to Danny’s room, he has stopped fitting but has flatlined. Cut to Serena’s room]

Doctor: Charge to 300! CLEAR

[They shock Serena once more but to no avail. We see both doctors in both rooms take a step back]

BOTH DOCTORS: Time of death, 16.25

[Lionel and Barbara break down as the monitors are turned off. We fade to white and suddenly we’re sent back to Danny’s high school. There, Danny stands. He holds his hand out. Serena grabs it]

Serena: Don’t be scared

Danny: You know what his means, right?

Serena: It was always going to end this way

Danny: What do I do?

Serena: You walk with me

[Serena and Danny walk down the corridor and in each classroom there is someone who has died from Danny’s past. He looks as he sees them. He walks near the end and turns to see Alexis. Serena stops and let’s go of his hand]

Serena: Go

[Danny steps forward and out of the shadows steps Nate]

Nate: Hi

Danny: Hi

[They kiss and we fade to white]

The last bit was because the original series was set in a school and it was when danny was happiest. Serena was handing him over to Nate

Wowwwwwww.... They truly were the best scripts, and only scripts btw, I've ever read. I don't think it matters that I've not read any others, they were just superb. McCall you should be freakin proud of yourself, I've always liked the work you've done with Teenage Lives and I hope that you continue the legacy in some shape or form. It really was top-notch, even if it was stupidly dramatic and horrific for Danny, the fact is that some people probably do have lives like that. Not all Teenagers will, but everyone has a difference experience in life and Danny really had a rocky one.

You can almost relate to them though, because all he wanted was to be loved, and in the end he died happy. It was a shame the baby died, also a shame we dont get to see what will happen to Sarah or how it will impact on Lionel's and Barbera (small roles, but still equally shaken by whats happened). Godddd really McCall, wowwwww. :)

+rep if I can, it really was ace from series 1 all the way to this penultimate series 4(?). Well done :D

Thanks a lot for those kind comments. I haven't ever written anything that I got so deeply involved with the characters. From the smaller roles like Lionel and Barbara to the big characters like Danny. Danny, to be, symbolises all the problems teenages go through. The angst, the unrequited love, the fear of what is to come. It got a bit bizzare in some stages (like 10 stabbings, 5 car crashes and 8 gunshots probably) but still.

From my point of view, Sarah died. Her flat was HIGH up. As for Barbara and Lionel... god knows. Shame they accepted Danny a bit too late and would they have done so if Danny hadn't gotten cancer?

After FIVE series, it's sad to finish it but I think if I had carried on it would've died a slow death.

Gosh yeah, quite a while a go now.

I knew if I finished on any sort of cliff hanger i'd want to write more. There will probably be specials like "what could've been" if Nate hadn't died etc hahaha.

But yeah I didn't want to be cruel and I think them both dying was a good twist because, with my writing, you don't usually expect that!

It's the kind of thing that is better to be self-taught because of how personal the art is. You have to find your own style and craft of screenwriting instead of having someone tell you how. If I had the choice, I would choose something else to study even with my passion for screenwriting. I just do not believe in being taught it. I feel a year or however long the course is is futile in comparison to doing it yourself from scratch. But hey, that's my two cents, if you really don't want to study anything else and you are desperate to go to university, then go for it.

I see what you mean but they teach you more about different styles, how to format a script properly (which i'm terrible at) and then they teach you how to like... propose your script to people, give you networking opportunities and get you kind of... in there.
