If you write, what has been your biggest project?

I've been working on a story for about four years now and it's about 220,000 words, like 288 A4 pages. It's been through A LOT of rewriting, editing and drafting and I'm working on one of the final edits now.

Before I used to just write short stories, this is the first story I've ever really stuck at :D

I've never really tried writing; outside of what I've done throughout school and college anyway. I don't think I have the enthusiasm or energy to plan and write something as long as that.

Just a 1100 word essay on Of Mice and Men. I don't really write if I don't have to.

I used to love writing little pieces when I was younger, but none of them very long.

So, my answer is... not very long. :D

Exactly the same.. I wrote a few pages for my English coursework but nothing major. I'd love to go on and write a full book and have it published, I just don't really know where to start and how to go about it, and also how to garuntee it will be any good.

Sure, I've produced written work with thousands of words in but that's only for School and or Sixth Form.

I wrote a little something called Harry Potter...

On a serious note, I've written hundreds of essays, most of which are over 2,000 words long, but mostly for college and hardcore internet debate. :8 I wrote a pilot for a story that suddenly popped into my head at the end of last year which spanned 1,489 words. I'd like to dedicate myself to writing a full novel based on it one day, but as usual I just don't have the time right now and probably won't any time soon either. Unfortunately.

I'd like to think I'm writing something which could become a novel, but it's a long way off and it's nothing serious as of yet - it's all in dribs and drabs and I've only written parts that I'm sure of as I still need to get around to sorting the timeline out for the plot and such... But that would be the longest thing I've written - not long at all though, 50 or so pages altogether.

I think a lot of people have that dream that someday they'll have a book published. It's my goal but after purchasing a Writers and Artists Yearbook and doing research into the industry, I've realised just how difficult it is to get your book out there. I'm not going to give up though and even if the agents and publishing houses think it's pants and it never gets anywhere, at least I can say I've written a novel? Lol
It is really time consuming though to work on a really long project and to find the determination to keep working at it.
