2001 by Aapo and Sampo and Dee Edwards. They began working on it on 2000 but released the first version of Habbo in 2001.
www.habbohotel.co.uk (http://www.habbohotel.co.uk) was the URL

WRONG.

It was www.habbohotel.com or www.habbo.com as at the time, there were no country-based hotels - only one, and that was .com. When there became more hotels, .com was moved to .co.uk which is why you'll see plenty of Americans on the UK hotel still due to them having accounts on there.

I thought the first one was in Finland? as aapo and sampo are both from there? then again they both have accounts on .co.uk 2..

As for the date early 2001?

Why not read an informative Guide on the History on Habbo.
Sure can be found on loads of fansites?
Habborator.org, Habbox.com, etc.

I think that would be most helpful.

From wikipedia

Facilities and Guest Rooms
Many of the Users of Habbo can make virtual guest rooms, here are just some of the guest rooms that some of today's users can create:

Brothels and Strip Clubs

it was called goldfish, renamed to Habbo Hotel and the first one was set up in finland, then a personhabbo name daisy helped them set up in the Uk (habbohotel.com) and then she sold it or somthing which was the biggest mistake of her life probs because someone said it was for only around a million lol

WRONG.

"WRONG". At the start there was Habbo Finaland, and then there was Habbo UK (the main 'international one'), and then Habbo Switzerland... then after a while a few more came. Then when Sulake decided to make Habbo in a lot more countries they moved Habbo.com (which was the main international one) to Habbo.co.uk because thats where it was based or some shiz, and then they channged Habbo.com into the US one... ;)

That would be Kultakala. The original beta for Habbo.. (or Hotelli Kultakala)

That is what wikipedia said.. And I don't think it was a 'huge' mistake, she wouldn't have known that she just sold one of the largest MMOGs ever..
