This is a very serious thread that I have made, I am putting into words how my life has been. First of all, you may not know that I am a quarter Pakistan even though my appearance may not look so. My life started bad, I had no money, a tiny hut/house in the slums of Pakistan. But then something amazing happened in my life, 7 words, England. I had been saving up for a very long time, worked with my mum. We sold home-made curry on the streets, my mum would make it and I would go out selling it on my bicycle. After a very long day at work, I got paid and decided to count up all of my money. We couldn't believe it, I had enough money to get a plane with my many other family members. So we gave our tiny house away in the slum, released our curry's secret recipe and off we went. We landed in England. I am so happy about my arrival in England that I decided to write a poem about it. I hope that you can feel the happiness that goes though me every time I read this.

Me come to England poor and broke
Go down dole see social bloke
Fill in form …. stand around
Kind man give me plenty pound.

Me thank him much and then he say
“You come next week, you get more pay”
Me write letter to Pakistan
Come live here quickly as you can.

All is nicely settled down
Nice big house in Rochdale town
Twenty families living up
Twice as many living down
More in garden live in tent
Local council pay the rent.

Six months later, big bank roll
Go to social draw more dole
Wife wants glasses, teeth and pills
All is free, we get no bills.

Me think England damn fine place
Much too nice for white man race
God bless white man big and small
He pay tax to keep us all.

And if you don’t like coloured man
Plenty room in Pakistan!!!!

If you haven't already noticed, I am speaking on behalf of pakistanis. Which means that they have had to learn the English language. Please do expect to see some very basic mistakes and words missed out (especially in the poem).

Now this is the story all about how
My life got flipped, turned upside down
And Id like to take a minute just sit right there
Ill tell you how I became the prince of a town called bel-air

In west philadelfia born and raised
On the playground where I spent most of my days
Chilling out, maxing, relaxing all cool
And all shooting some b-ball outside of the school
When a couple of guys said were up in no good
Started making trouble in my neighbourhood
I got in one little fight and my mom got scared
And said youre moving with your aunte and uncle in bel-air

I whistled for a cab and when it came near the
Licensplate said fresh and had a dice in the mirror
If anything I could say that this cab was rare
But I thought now forget it, yo home to bel-air

I pulled up to a house about seven or eight
And I yelled to the cabby yo, home smell you later
Looked at my kingdom I was finally there
To settle my throne as the prince of bel-air

So you're saying that England is such a great place because you can go on the dole and be on benefits and do nothing? Nice.

EDIT: Never mind.
