Race Barichello.

How ever the Mclarens looked very strong in both practice sessions. Massa has a new engine for the weekend.

Anyone watching practice?

Yes - great qualifying. Raikonen could have a good chance with this race I think provided the fuel strategy is good although I am not sure how effective Kers will be on this circuit. Could be a bit risky. Also I have known how to edit a thread title since 2005. Thanks. :)

bless you for trying to sound like you know what you're on about.

you do know the Monaco circuit is nearly impossible to overtake, it's the most difficult track in the world to over take on as it's so narrow and is only a part-time circuit.

but you can see the slower car of Ferrari over taking a faster Brawn car? at Monaco? also KERS means nothing at Monaco, if anything it's a disadvantage because it adds huge weight to the car.

how did you come to this conclusion?

Catzsy

just shows how much you know.

Bless you too :) I think you will find that Raikinon will beat Jenson to the first corner as he has Kers which gives him quite an advantage. Obviously if he is light then it will be up to how well the pit stop strategies go. To answer your edit I would say Ferrari have certainly found some speed since the last race.

Wolverhampton
23-05-2009, 01:43 PM
You'll be found to be wrong.

as the Ferrari's can't keep up with the Brawns even though they have KERS.

did you pay any attention to the qualifying sessions?

There was very little in it and I did pay attention -thankyou!
I maybe wrong this is just a prediction. Nobody can call it as a certainty.
It is not one of Jenson's favourite tracks and Raikinon likes it. It is just not you that knows anything about F1:P

Jenson doesn't like it but, guess what? he's the fastest man on the track! :O

Indeed with 00.025 of a second between 1st and 2nd.:O Looks like Jenson is going to have 20 laps worth of fuel so it will depend upoon the fuel strategy of Ferrari for Raikonen.

But that doesn't mean he will win the race - just because he was the fastest. I thought you were knowledgable in this subject? It's not a drag race is it where just being the fastest wins.

Hard luck for alonso there, 2 seconds behind.

He is a fighter though - he will push hard. Just hope he doesn't push so far that he ends up in the barrier. He has done well to even drag that car around this season to get into quali 3.

Back from my shower.

You do know that the 0.025 seconds that Button had over Raikkonen amounts to about a meter in length? a meter in length is a big margin over 60 laps, after the 60 laps Button would be 60 meters ahead of Raikkonen (not necessarily, just proving a point) and 60 meters would equate to about a 10 seconds lead.

Which in Formula 1 is a big lead and especially a big lead on the Monaco track because it's so difficult to overtake...

And I hope Vettel and Alonso end up in the tyre wall together, the German is a smarmy git, and the Spaniard is a cocky git.

If only it was as simple as that theory. Driver performance, fuel loads, fuel stops, traffic, reliability of car. etc etc. The strategy is as important as the speed of the car in F1. Also Kers can give a great advantage to getting to the first corner. Have to say I am not so keen on Alonso myself after his
attitude to Hamilton but I think Vettel has a huge future in front of him and
don't see anything remotely smarmy about him at all.

Don't give up! Barrichello is pretty good at this type of circuit.

That's why I put in brackets (not necessarily, just proving a points)

even with the points you mentioned, they will make Brawn pull even farer away from Ferrari, as they are that good and have the best boss of them all, Ross Brawn.

Well I certainly hope so and you are 100% correct about Ross Brawn. The guy is a genius when it comes to strategy.

I reckon that Button will be in with a good chance tomorrow, the Brawn's seem to be unstoppable just now.

However, I believe Massa could have a chance of getting on the podium, and I would like to see that!

Don't blame you backing Raikkonen to crash, he's been terrible lately.

Although I think the starting grid line up will stay pretty much the same through the race, because it's so difficult to over take, and there will probably be a couple of retirements.
