Would just like to say it's great that the main trouble makers in the forum have been dealt with through a variety of permanent bans and shorter bans and other negative sanctions. :eusa_danc

Good job guys :)

Yeah, its much improved, its nice to be able to read a thread without fighting in it for once.

It's good to see the majority of forums cleaned up now actually :) Habbo UK News and Rumours in particular! I don't see anyone purposely singling someone out or targeting them to bully or poke fun at :). We're mostly seeing news and that everyone wants to see in the terms of furni and badges, and not boring stuff that sometimes isn't even news :P and I wouldn't say that's down to the mods, but just the members maturity.

so, it looks like to me that Jake has asked the mods to clamp down on the sports forum and they've followed.

he doesn't have any impact regarding moderation in the sports section :S

for some time the section has been rifled with a lot rule breaking, and thus its been more focused upon by moderators. now, i think the section is more approachable as those who tend to be a negative aspect have been banned.

I seriously think that is the most rediculous comment I have heard coming from you Geraint. You are usually more open minded than this.

Having said that I am not sure I would want to be congratulated for specifically moderating one section as I try to give all the same attention to all sections I moderate and be as fair and as impartial as I can i.e. target the rule break and not the person.

the moderation in that section is terrible imo.

Could you be more specific as to the problems you feel are there?

can we just not moderate that forum please.

and that obviously wouldn't happen anytime soon. there's nothing special about the sports section which excludes it from the rules of the forum.

the sports forum is like any other forum just like i am a normal member. i don't know where people like adammm/wootzeh/geraint/jack.lfc have got this image that i am above the rules. i'm not at all, i don't think this myself. i have infractions and warnings too!

yes adam, i have been to old trafford numerous times. i've been to highbury too, more than you can say huh (no i haven't been to the emirates yet)

there's nothing special about you either which means you can infract every person on the forum.

the mods don't understand the meaning of the word banter.

If you can give some specific examples of 'banter' that has been penalised
then I am sure you would be listened to. Tbh I haven't seen much evidence of banter being penalised just people being rude, insulting each other and then the excuse is 'banter ' or people don't understand the football mentality. Well spam is a good example as to where genuine 'banter' actually operates very well.

Geraint I have seen you all around the forum! :P

If I call Geraint a sheep ******* welshy I'm sure he'll take no offense.

If you've ever been to a football match then you'd know the level of banter there ;)

The same circle of people post in the football threads in that section so they know what to expect.

And I am certain that a comment like that wouldn't be penalised adammm because it is obvious banter.

So it's not true. Sarcasm CAN be shown on a forum.

Bravo, namesake, bravo.

That's what you seem to be forgetting. The Sports Forum isn't meant to be a representation of a Football Stand and the Forum isn't a representation of real life. In real life you can swear, you can't on here, I could go on but don't think I need to...
