In the night I lie awake
Tear stained pillow by my side
I hold on it and close my eyes
And I pretend that you're there too
I wished that we had no ending
But then the sun rises
And I have to stop pretending

In the moonlight we dance and sing
And discuss the joy that life could bring
And in that midnight breeze
Nothing really mattered to me
And your voice it echos across
The globe that spins around
But then we crash land on Earth
And my dreams hit the ground

Why can't I remember the times we had
What's so wrong with holding on
Denial is the method that's best
Because I don't know if I am am strong
Do I battle against the truth
Suspended in this reality
