Looks like some of us are going to be in for a rumbly evening/night, if you're in the south east particularly. They are heading up from France right now, just about to hit the south coast.

You can track the rain here: http://www.raintoday.co.uk/ The really dark reds are the worst stuff.

& you can track the lightning here: http://www.isleofwightweather.com/lightning.html (go on History and then 30m along the top)

Met Office have put warnings out for London, South East England, East of England and East Anglia.

They better be good :( Knowing how unpredictable our weather is, they'll probably miss most of us completely.

Anyone from Kent see them coming yet?

Looks like it's kind of coming in my direction as well. England will collapse if it does happen.

yh if you look at the rain link it's only just now hitting suffolk

looks like it might just go a tiny bit east of where I live (Norwich) though, or just scrape the side of me anyway.

If it's hitting suffolk it's done a damn good job hitting Kent, then missing Essex, then hitting Suffolk :S

Lol, I was very confused :P It would be weird if it somehow went around and avoided Essex, though I can't blame it :P

Oh yeah, in North/Middle Essex, the sky is grey. So it must be getting close :)
