3G will be no where near enough, and for some people with rubbish connections, WiFi won't either. Just won't work unfortunately.

3G would be enough? Remember you are connecting to a Datacenter with a 100MB connection. I used to run Remote Desktop on my PC for my Webservers when I was on 1MB internet and I believe 3G is generally faster than 1MB.

EDIT: Infact I just read that 3G averages out at 2-3MB :)

If your right up close to the cell and have no other users on that cell. 3G shares the connection out eqaully, sure 3G is a lot faster than GPRS but generally you won't get 1 meg on it.

You normally, on O2, only get 500kb/s on 3G... That isn't going to be a good laptop experience if you ask me.
