United States businessman Ellis Short has taken total control of Sunderland. eh, if we wanted him that bad, we'd cough up. If we can afford 9m for Gordon, we can afford 3m for Brucey. We got allll the summer to negotiate that deal, and Wigan proved they are a selling on club.

Nial Quinn was quoted saying that Short turned down a bid of 20m for Jones, which has gotta be a good sign!
