There's no point in post counts rising in this Forum as it's always the same crap ''Welcome to the Habbox Forum, please read the rules!'', ''Welcome!'' and blah blah blah!!! It's not needed really as it's just classed as Spam in my eyes -.-'

Something was already done about it, although I do see it still happening sometimes and people not even reading what threads about.

Like Scott pointed out about that thread. If you do see it happening, the simple solution for now is to report the posts so one of the Super Moderators can deal with it. :)

At the end of the day people saying welcome will make the new user think that it's a nice atmosphere and stick around. Sure people do it for post count but I don't think that affects anyone else. I'm sure management would rather people say "welcome - read the rules" or whatever than nobody replying with their welcome message.

I totally agree with you, Jake and the trouble is how can you say more than a few words to somebody who is new and you don't know but they should get a positive welcome.

If somebody is simply doing a C&P to get post count as Matt says the report button is there.

If post count didn't rise we would not have as many people posting in that section meaning that new users would not have the same welcome. Sure, we can send automated messages to new users but it doesn't have the same effect as being welcomed by members of the forum. When I first joined and made a welcome thread, I was delighted to see people welcoming me to the forum and it made me want to carry on posting on hxf.

It's more than that to some people. But it's like a win win situation, people keep posting for their own sake (post count) but are also helping Habbox by keeping the forum active. Look at the "what are you listening to" thread for example, it had to get closed and reopened because it had that many posts in it!
