R.I.P. Why the hell was the mother not supervising a 4 year old playing on dangerous gym equipment?

yeah, its so sad. you can't blame the mother though as you can't just say 'why wasn't she watching her' as you can't always watch your children, especially at home where you think their the safest in relation to the outer-world.

Yeah but the gym isn't an ideal place to let children play, knowing Mike was a boxer their could of been weights and everything, that could have dropped on them etc, she could have always checked on them every 5 minutes, she was alone and her brother found her hanging :(

I feel sorry for the seven year old(?) brother finding her. You cannot blame the parents or the family, it's a misfortunate event. Yes, she could of kept an eye on them, but she's only human. Heck, just imagine the different events like 9/11 and the like that could of been avoided if people kept an eye on everything. Hopefully the mother won't blame herself too much, it's not her fault.

Just one of those people who won't be missed and probably doesn't do much to benefit others, so I wouldn't be too concerned really. It's their loss, really :)

I think it's compleatly wrong that the people on here are blaming the mother for this. I have a 3 year old sister myself, and you can take your eye off her for a second and she could be getting into some sort of mischief. Being a parent is a very hard job, especially when the children are young. This is nothing more than just a very tragic accident, and nobody should be blamed for it.
