Watch the video (It's only 1 hour long so you don't have to watch all of it if you don't want to) But this is a Twitter Killer, and is likely to (imo) change many communities for the better.
I have a few ideas how this can be used myself, will have to make my java better.

Its not out yet, invite only for beta testers.
Very Clever!

PS: This shall be available later this year.

I watched earlier, some of it looked okay like the live typing and ability to add more people etc. It would never catch on to the average e-mail user though (or people young who use social networking) as I never really e-mail people over topics etc that much.. and MSN is there to IM people.

I watched it earlier, it looks pretty good to me.

I don't think it'll really be a twitter killer, it seems to be pro-twitter, because of the twitter waves you can make.

Can't wait to try this!

It looks great. I'm about halfway through the video, but paused it for Britain's got Talent. Something new and innovative from Google, who'd have thought it?
