Don't forget to rave on COD4 as soon as you get the monitor if you do even before you open the box and plug it in you have to play COD4 on it and call me first so we can have a game.

Either one of the Samsungs, one has an awesome contrast ratio, yet the other has an awesome response time - so either one!

And to whoever voted the LG one, seriously, look at the specs...

I voted the LG one along with someone else by the looks of it because the specs aint TERRIBLE and the Samsung ones look like they was designed by E.T.

In fairness in most cases a moniter is just a moniter, so go for the cheapest/biggest. Most the specs that count are pretty much the same accross the board and most of the improvments on em generally go beyoned what the human eye can detect anyway "/

Very true however I only trust known brands.

then again you also got to remeber that some cheaper brands are just as good quality as Known brands.

Show me a computer moniter that doesn't use a TN panel and doesn't cost the Earth. TN panels aren't so bad these days.

Samsung and Dell monitors generally don't if you go for the right ones :P

After talking with various people I have just bought the 1st monitor (LG 22"). It will be here tomorrow and I will post in the Setup thread as well. I went for that monitor because I have had a LG Monitor before and it was fantastic and also the fact this monitor is 600:1 contrast ratio and a 8ms response time so I think I will see a dramatic improvement with this other monitor. I will set it up in Dual screen for more desktop space.

If the 2 monitors are too different, it'll start to bug the hell out of you because one will have a good contrast ratio and one will be ass (it happened with mine, I couldn't use the old 19" I had).

Also a 600:1 contrast ratio is pretty poor. However I hope you will be happy with it!

I wonder if it will bug the hell out of me? Only time will tell and yea 600:1 contract ratio is very poor for a Dell monitor. To be honest I thought this monitor had a nice HD looking picture on it.

What they show you on the monitor and what it actually displays as are 2 different things ;)

I've actually got option 1, it's been superb but I'd go with the one someone linked to earlier, the fujistu siemens one.

I really don't understand why you chose this monitor, with a 600:1 contrast ratio and an 8ms response time... :S
