What Game Will be Game Of The Year 2009?

Its a strong line up this year but i reckon Modern Warfare 2 due to the first Modern Warfare being game of the year 2007 but with this one there is updates with graphics and better gameplay also not as much changed from the original.

Sorry? I was under the illusion that Super Mario Galaxy was the general game of the year 2007. Its the third highest rated game of all time...

Anyway, this year I honestly have no idea. Maybe Halo ODST if thats coming out this year or very possibily the Conduit depending on how that turns out.

If ODST wins it'll be a disgrace for GOTY.
Halo has reached the end of the life cycle, they have no idea what direction to go in and they're in some crappy shooter.

MW2, Bioshock 2, maybe even Assassins Creed 2 will win. Course one of the console exclusives could also win.

Believe me, I'm no Halo fan. I liked Halo 1 and then it went downhill from there but IGN said ODST is more like Halo 1. You shouldn't rule out a game before you've played it. I think Bioshock 2 has a decent chance though you are right. Maybe New Super Mario Bros Wii, not sure though.

I've got to go with Modern Warfare 2. It's definitely the game I'm excited for most this year.

Modern Warfare 2. We're already getting steady pre-orders for it, more so than any other game announced or being released this year. The hype for it is already there, the fan base is already there and I'm assuming the videos and gameplay are already better than Modern Warfare 1. I would say it'll reach GOTY status easily.

I don't have much confidence in Bioshock 2 holding up, strangely enough, it's mainly a new team handling it and without Ken Levine on board - I just can't seem to see how it could 'shock' us all again.

That being said, I want it to destroy all of our anticipation and leave us in awestruck.Then lead us to the promised land.
