Best news system?

I know a lot of people use cutenews, and we are currently using it.

But were looking for a change, to something which isn't text based, but sql based.

A system which allows us to add user groups and limit them to:

posting in sections
Adding / Editing users

etc..

You meant joomla. The best news system out there is probably one that is custom made. ;)

drupal, but you use modules to bend it to your needs.

Fusion news, it's basically cutenews with SQL, or you could look for the SQL modification for cutenews...
