Big Brother why is it sooooo sooo bad??????!

After hearing about Big Brother returning to tv for yet another god awful series of crap I decided to take matters into my own hands and wrote to channel 4 complaining about how much of a waste of time it is.

This was my email:

I do not like Big Brother, I think it is a waste of air time and it takes up
far too much time on both channel 4 and E4. I would not mind If it was only
on a couple of times a week but it is usually constantly on E4 throughout
the day when it is not on channel 4. Only 4 percent of the population watch
it and it has dwindling viewing figures so why does it take up so much air
time which could be spent on good TV?

Because there dragging it on too much, it was dead years ago and they keep trying things that don't work to make people watch yet, it just makes people bored and tune out

But i watch it because i get bored sometimes :lol:

Although I think it has run its course, Big Brother still gets very good ratings for Channel 4 - better than most other programs they put in the same time slot. For a show to last 10 series, many weeks at a time, it's impressive that they have still maintained a decent viewing audience, even if it has gone down slightly.

And it isn't on throughout the day on E4 any more. They axed the day time live feed (it's only on from around midnight to about 6am), so instead we get to watch more repeats of Friends!!!

Theres worst stuff on TV. E.g. day time TV on like most channels. Complain about the crap on TV during the day. BB only takes up around 1 hour on C4 now a days (apart from when they do live shows).

Besides next year is BB's last year.

It is crap, I agree. However, their fundamental aim is to pull the viewers in and by airing Big Brother they will do this.

Its all about money. As long as they make a decent amount of money from the show, they will keep it on air.

Although the viewing figures are decreasing, it still gets more than most of their other programmes and that's what matters.

Anyway they know that BB is getting annoying for many people and isnt as popular now, hence next year will most likely be its last year.

And due to a decrease in viewing figures, live feed isnt available this year.

It depends if they make a good run of it this year I will look forward to it returning if it does of course and would welcome it on because Big Brother use to be really good and entertaining so if they can make it that good again I wont be complaining to another series.

So far I must say it' been OK and funny watching that wanna-be Wolverine guy cry over not being a housemate so I really hope the british makes a good decision here and does NOT vote him to be a housemate. :P

I can't stand the show. The first series was fine, it was a genuine psychological experiment, and now it's just an exploited freakshow. It doesn't even get great ratings anymore, and I'd like to see how it fared tonight against The Apprentice.
