So, I kind of want to act, I'm 16, and live in Alabama, USA, basically where there is nothing to do regarding that that I know of. I want to find out if I am actually somewhat good at it (I know, I'll have to have a lot of experience before I try to get into some little movies), but I don't know where to start. I took drama when I was a little kid and I was somewhat good at it, was in 1 little play and wasn't bad. I have great memorization for lines & stuff like that. I just need to know where to start. I am definately NOT a singer so broadway and musicals aren't a good choice for me haha. I thought about majoring in drama and acting when I graduate and when I'm in college. I don't want to be too eager to just try and get into a big movie immediately, I can take it slow. I just don't know where to start.

Im sure your high school has a drama club, and probably has plays every now and then.
I know my school puts on 3 or 4 big plays a year and theyre usually a big success.

sadly it doesn't. i go to a small private school which i absolutely hate. i would go to public school if my parents let me, but they dont want me to. they prob think id do drugs. if they didnt know, people at my school do drugs too. alot of them do. and i have a bunch of friends at public that dont do drugs so idk what their problem is.

I cant stand parents who dont send their kids to public schools because they think its a bad influence. While tbh, I know a bunch of kids at my school (public) that just smoke weed or something) and I know a bunch of kids at other schools (private) that do stuff like shrooms or acid or stuff like that which is a lot worse than weed.
Try to take some acting classes somewhere in your town. Than try out for plays from there and than progressively get into bigger shows.

thanks! yeah my parents send me to a christian private school. im not exactly religious. i believe but i dont really care if you get what im saying. gahhh it pisses me off

I know the website is for disney but if you want an extra part just to start off with then its best to start there, im sure on the website it leads to other parts of acting but im not sure. Hope this helps.

Joined these forums about three years ago. Even then I didn't play the game, just went on when I was involved with this website. I just post here because they're one of two forums I actually visit online, and I only post in a few select forums on here. I like that these forums cover everything outside of that game, and if you look at my post count, I think it'd be fair to say that I've no intention of starting off elsewhere.
