I downloaded windows 7 a while back and now want to start using vista again, so how do I delete windows 7?

I deleted the partition but when I load my laptop I still have the option to use either windows vista or windows 7, so how do I get rid of it permanently?

Try restoring the bootloader from the Vista Disc

No, just download EasyBCD and remove the "Windows 7" boot-up option.

Or edit the boot.ini file on the default drive.

As far as I know Windows 7 and Vista don't have boot.ini files, they use bootsect.exe instead (I think!). EasyBCD should do fine.

Thanks, I used EasyBCD and got rid of the option, but now I have unallocated space Screenie below.

Because you have that Data partition in the way, move the Data partition across.

You can't do it, it won't let you, and I haven't found a way around it for ages...

I don't know, there has to be a fix for it, somewhere...

It's not to waste, just make a partition using that space :P
