Hey,

Yes, the person who hated Macs just caved. Anyone want to recommend any apps or anything?

Should be getting it tomorrow or Monday unless courriers deliver on Saturdays (got a Refurb seeing as it is my first one).

When did I say that? I said you can't right click in the traditional way by tapping/clicking the bottom right. I know you can two finger tap. And I use a mouse in Windows 7 anyway as it can't take advantage of the awesome trackpad.

You can set it so that you can right click by pressing either the bottom left or right corner. Dunno if it works on the white MB though..

Yes I know, I have done. And no, it doesn't work on the MacBook White.

No, sometimes I just fancy booting into 7. (OS X does annoy me at times as I find the productivity on Windows much quicker). Also the annoying ******* spinning beach ball at random times when you're trying to do something. It doesn't let you do anything other than watch it until it's done it's second of loading whatever. Windows lets you carry on what you're doing while it decides it's got something really big and important to process, much more importaing than what the user is trying to do. Other than that OS X is great.

Alright. I was just going to say, what's the point of paying the Apple tax if you're not going to use OS X:P.

Well technically I avoided a fair chunk of the Apple tax via eBay. And I think OS X will be more efficient for productivity once I get used to making use of Expose.

Expose is a neat trick. Windows should have stolen/"invented" that feature for windows crap/vista;).

Yes it is. And all businesses copy ideas from one another. It's how they implement the copied ideas that counts :).

Vista is not so crap after SP1. I can't believe you're still on a crusade about it?

Sounds like you got a good deal, refurbs are basically brand new anyways.

OfficeMac
ScreenFlow (if you like capturing whats on your screen obviously)
Tweetie (http://www.atebits.com/tweetie-mac/)
AppZapper (the uninstaller that Apple forgot, haha. You can get a free trial somewhere but it's not hard to crack ;))
GeekTool (using shell so you can get date & time, etc appearing on your desktop)
Growl - A must have, alerts for torrent clients, Adium, iChat, iTunes, etc.)
Bowtie - Album artwork appearing on your desktop (which can connect with iTunes & Last.fm)
Mac:Messenger or Adium

Thats it really, good luck with your MacBook though :)

I thought that when I went from a normal laptop to a UB MacBook, I was like "****... how do I right click" and had to Google it to find out.
The settings you can make on the trackpad are great and the overall comfortability is excellent. You won't have this problem though, as you won't have the trackpad.

When I'm on my moms laptop it annoys me to click a seperate button to right click. Haha.

Thank god they steal from eachother. Without Xerox we'd all not be online.

Vista is better with the SP, but still not close to my standards;).
