Side of ribcage hurts

Well yeah, when I press the sides of my ribcage it hurts, like under my armpit down to the middle of my ribcage, is this normal or what? It's on both sides too.

Any like lumps or anything? If yes then its swollen lymph nodes, if no youve probably just stretched the muscles in the rib cage :]

I get sharp pains like i've just been stabbed sometimes? Erm i don't know what it is if it's this t just hurts LOL Maybe you have bruised it if you hurt when you press down i think you should rest as much as you can for a while and see if it still hurts. Try and think how it could be caused :)

Could have a punctured lung or something? This guy had pains on TV I was watching and they put a tube under his armpit to suck the oxygeon like out of his chest so the lung could repair itself :P
