People have been asking for a long time, especially the more original Habbo members, "when is Habbo going to no-longer be Habbo? When is the upgrades going to be a bad thing?" I dont know about you but Habbo Beta is going a bit too far. More icons, some more furni and even the pixel's, yeh, but I think its going too far to make Habbo Beta. The graphics are getting better which makes it harder for fansites (for like layouts and stuff) and those wishing to become graphics artist, not to mention most people play habbo because of its simpile-ness (if thats a word, lol) and not games like lotr online or (what I hate, but no offfenceif you like) runescape... Because its too graphical. I think it excludes the community. And getting rid of the big hand? I know its kinda messy and we needed some saught of upgrade on the big hand but not get rid of it altogther! I want to hear others views, whether your with or against me, i wanna hear both!

Easily way to solve this, Habbo is the company name, what ever it becomes it is itself so technically on the 1st line you failed already.
Graphics are definately not "becoming harder" their becoming more advanced, anyone could create most habbo furni after atleast a year of dedication to alting.
They technically didn't get rid of the hand, it now holds your inventory on the icon, only downfall from it is that you can't alt + clickhold (new) and drag it into the new inventory, you have to use pick up icon.
Atm i admit it looks a bit messy, walking is cute & so is the navigator.
Edit: When did beta bring us furni? @_@, fail.

Wrong section.
I think the idea is good, though i agree with Samsta, the old habbo is better.. but we can't dwindle on the past :P

Well, if you just want to talk to your mates use msn, and yes you can stop change.

Ok, first line I didnt fail, even a dullard could understand what I meant by it. What I meant (for the slower people) is that eventually (at this rate) Habbo will change into something completely different to what it used to be, to what we joined up to, to why we spent so much time on the computer. And more advanced graphics means harder graphics. This also means that novice graphics artists will find it enourmously harder. And with youre last paragraph.... +rep, that bits quite good.

I dont think we are dwindling on the past, and yes Habbo 06 was better. But what I am saying is not to dwindle on the past, but not to make such an enormous change so quickly. If you are going to make the change you should ease into it. Like the icons. I would be a bit angry to be playing habbo one day and have the icons like this:
http://www.habbosolutions.net/information/images/nav/nav1.gif
And then the next have them like this:
http://www.habbosolutions.net/information/images/nav/nav8.gif
Especially if I got left out of the proccess of testing it while othersnew more about it. Its excluding the community. and its not just the icons changing this time, the whole thing is a lot different. If you want to make such a big change at least slow down the rate at which its happening.

I'd rather have the old habbo. At least it was orginally and didn't look ****.

I believe you should get it right first.

Eventually you grow out of it and the novelty wears off anyway. It is a bit OTT now but they've built up this userbase and they're gonna milk it for all its worth.

I personally have used Habbo since 2005 and I believe that the BETA is the way forward... If Sulake want to keep Habbo going 'forever' then need to change it and if that means changing the whole outlook then I say go for it.
You can't keep moaning every time they make an update, if you was in there position you would do the same thing - its all about customers at the end of the day. A new Habbo will attract new and old Habbos which is what they want.
Personally, I believe and feel thats its brilliant - I love the whole idea and concept and since I have been using the BETA I feel its much better and easier to use (after the initial getting used to it period).
I'm done. aha.

Harry is right, Habbo for us can change, but would you really have wanted the same old habbo since around 2006-2007 when majour changes came in place, No people would have left, people would have thought it was idle & not going to be upgraded their for they built new versions to:
1) Keep us interracting with it.
2) Get new users.
By what i meant on the 1st line, habbo is what habbo becomes, The old habbo is still the new habbo, its going to be the same graphics as they've said their never becoming 3d so the concept of its 2.5d will never be lost.
1 thing to say though, UP THE ******* FURNI LIMIT! LOL!

Been on it for a few days. It's alright, I like the zoom feature. However, it runs a lot slower for me than the normal client.

Yea that sucks, I wanna beta test it :(
anyway I'm looking forward to the new update, habbo gets boring that's why Habbo update it every month.

i quite like it. anyway, even if they did keep the old habbo everyone would be like 'update it omg, we want something new' and crap. like the collectables basically

Well apparently it's not coded in the same way the old Habbo is... so it could be more vunerable to scripting - but hey, scripting always looks great ;)
I don't like the room icons.. too big!

Just got beta last night.
My favourite feature at the moment would be the chat history. I always miss things in trade city for example, so seeing the chat history is useful.
I like zooming.
The Navigator confused the hell out of me ( I am simple though )
Didn't know/still don't know how I can go straight to hotel view whilst in a room. There used to be a hotel view button.
Overall I think its a nice update, and it seems to run much smoother, The pixels sort of "glide" now :P
It will be interesting to see how good the security is, when its fully released.
