Unsolved 14 - Great Logic puzzle

Hey,

I'm guessing some here will be familiar with notpron, or maybe even unsolved13, or at the very least be interested in the logic puzzles of the above. Unsolved13 have created a new game, that will open on the 14th which goes by the name of unsolved 14 as you may have guessed.

The game has never been completed.

The first levels quite a bit harder than with most of these, but everything you need is right there.

Just make sure you check the source, read the title and look at the image. Putting the information together should provide the answer to what you need to do to arrive at level 2 :)

It seems very familiar. I remember doing one of these where I had to reverse the alphabet, one with a distraction and one with ASCII in that order. Hmm :P Very familiar, a braille question that seems exactly like I've done before :/ Are you sure it's not just got updated images?

I'm positive I've done this exact order with different images. Level 5 says Salt and Matches but before it said Pig Pen :P

Yea a few of the early levels are very similar to the original game, so knowledge of it can get you through the first 5 or 6 levels pretty snappily.. after that though it gets alot more challenging :p

Just checked, apparnlty the first 12 levels are the same method to solve em as the first one, if you know first one should be a doddle getting that far then :p

Joining the prime numbers one by one give me nothing, but if I connect all prime numbers together it does sort of create something that could look like a hallway... but that leads me nowhere. I'll check the forum :)

Appy what you know, there are letters in the image, concider what they may be if you unreversed em :p

return to where you started means what it says, head back to the start and start viewing source code :p (prior to the levels)

But irc/ proper forums may be more help in long run as you'll end up overtaking me at this rate

Before the levels is, I assume, the homepage - but there's nothing :P

and if the level one is the same then Mad you do like

etc.

and spell the word which is something like revenge or reverse or something ;S i forgot :P

My suggestion is to head back to the main site and read some of the background info. What your looking for will become obvious :)

lol, i had that problem was stuck on that for ages. My advice is go complain on the unsolved14 forum / IRC, that way the author will here and maybe add some more hints.

Which ones 16? I cant remember level no's but i tested a ton of em so should be able to help, if not i can just ask JB for some more of his vague and possible helpful hints :p

Similar, but focused more on straight problem solving and logic puzzles. So no sql injections or particularly advanced computer skills necessary :)

@Sam: Map piece, part of a map... what format does paint default too..

I'll leave you to think on that one, but its easy to get distracted from the real clues with that level :p

I don't get it. At all. Can you suggest any help? I've looked at the forum hints, but I don't get what Wikipedia has to do with this.

If Level 4 is the matchsticks and salt, it's a type of code, the way they are set out :) Either the name of the page, picture or clue in the source code will give you what the type of communication method is called. E.g: Morse Code (It's obviously not Morse code though :P)

2. Can you make a connection between the numbers in the image name, the numbers in brackets in the "alt", and Level 20 ?

I know how to play chess, but I don't know what the chess moves mean. Like, the first says N: A1 but how's a Knight meant to move to A1?

Okay, so I've set it out, I know that the piece to move is the answer from the previous riddle but apparently the move I have in mind isn't what I'm supposed to do. It's a one-move game, right? And it's white to move?

Are you sure you have the correct file extension?

Haha, do you know any chess at all? Basically all you do is set out the chess board as it says and make the game-ending move.

For 19 I worked out what I needed to get in that I had to name the 4 f***'s of the objects shown. I got the name of the f*** for the last three objects but there was tons of different ones for the first object. (Could be a human, a man etc.)

So because you need to get the first letter of each f*** for Level 20. I had the last three and just changed the first letter until I got the answer :)

That doesn't help at all...

Your first set of numbers (the one beginning with '4' I think) relates on which square in Level 20 to pick. So if you had 4, you'd pick the square you SOLVED 4th (not necessarily the one that is 4th on the grid).

You then look at the first number in the second set of numbers (which I think is 9) so you take the 9th letter out of the address bar end part for the 4th grid.

E.g: If the address to the 4th square was unsolved14.com/blahblah/ilikecheese.htm

You'd pick the 9th letter out of 'ilikecheese'.

You then have your first letter, now do exactly the same for the second number in both sets of numbers.
