Van Sant as in Gus Van Sant? Director of the horrific remake of Psycho, heh.

Quentin Tarantino
Dario Argento
George A. Romero
Brian De Palma

I've purposely avoided that remake... but yes, Gus. I did rate another one of his films very low, though. Last Days was pretty dreadful and dull. What was he thinking?

Quentin Tarantino as favourite director or favourite writer? My favourite of Tarantino's isn't even one he directed: True Romance

It was probably even better than Badlands.

Favourite writer/director. True Romance is indeed a good film, better than Natural Born Killers, at least with Oliver Stone's take on the script. QT's screenplay is so much better.

Natural Born Killers doesn't sound too intriguing to me. I'm just not the biggest fan of Tarantino I guess, he went doowwwnnnnhill after Jackie Brown.

I loved Kill Bill and Death Proof. With those two films he was extremely self-indulgent and many people hated them because they weren't film geek enough.

How do you know?

Just watched Death Proof. Was great! Rosario Dawson is gorgeous.

Peter Jackson. As soon as I saw Bad Taste I knew this guy was awesome. Then came Lord of the Rings and King Kong, what a legend. Heavenly Creatures was damn good as well. Clint Eastwood sure has made some brilliant films over the past few years as well.

Bad Taste is great. Braindead remains my favourite film by him though. The only film that ever made be feel physically sick.

Uwe Boll is by far the greatest director ever! :O

Not....

But he's not the worst either. He deserves criticism for making poor films, but people treat him like he's the worst film-maker in the world, when he really isn't. Most of the people who hate on him are just flocking and haven't even seen a Uwe Boll film. Tunnel Rats is actually pretty decent.

But what if someone does think he is the worst film-maker in the world? Would they be wrong?
